So is always defending stuff no matter how controversial. Not you, but there are some who do.
Honestly, complaining about complaining is more annoying.
I was a Nintendo executive, I wouldn't do Executive Meddling.
And they will enjoy the sight of Ridley's neck being the thickness of a toothpick.
I mean, she herself has been being pushed a lot by Nintendo, but I'm attributing her inclusion and promotion to popularity over recency. Not that she's going to be leaving the Mario series any time soon...
Agreed. Advertising? As if! Rosalina has been around for six years now. She was popular since her first appeareance too.
Now if she was added in Brawl, that would be advertising...
How about a normal Kamek trophy first?
Dude, stop stressing about it. Sakurai is not gonna boot one of the most important Kirby characters.
That's actually pretty cool. It reminds me of one of Emmett Graves' supers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMTo be honest, despite who I wanted from the Mario-verse to make it, I was expecting either Bowser Jr or Rosalina to be seriously added.
I don't know if I can see myself maining Rosalina, despite my preference for team characters. I tend not to handle puppet-style characters all that well...

That's because Rosalina has become a standard since Galaxy. She's been in every Mario Kart since her first appearance, (8 brings the count up to three), she cameoed in Galaxy 2, she's the fifth playable character in a full Mario game, and now she's being added to Smash Bros. She's not advertising specifically, but she's become a prominent Nintendo character in her own right, making regular appearances in major games.
I wonder why Rosalina is getting so much attention though. I know she's a major character in Galaxy but I'm surprised that they continue to include her in things. She seemed like a one-shot at the time but now she's becoming as much of a staple as the main four heroes. At this point she's probably going to appear in the next Mario Party and she might even usurp Daisy as the secondary princess.
Rosalina and Bowser Jr., unlike characters like Daisy and Waluigi, don't have an obvious analogue elsewhere in the franchise. They're similar to Peach and the Koopalings, respectively, but they have significantly different roles. Unlike Daisy and Waluigi who were created (or, in Daisy's case, re-introduced) to simply fill out a roster as carbon copies of characters that already existed.
That's something that occurred later- When Waluigi and Daisy were (re)introduced, they were basically a tall, thin Wario and a brunette Peach. They diverged a great deal after that, but at first, that's what they were.
I sure said that!

Waluigi was created by Camelot for Mario Tennis in 2000.
Wario and Daisy were both created for the Super Mario Land series on the Gameboy.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureExactly, Daisy has appeared in one platformer and then stayed in the spin-offs. There's no way Daisy should be playable in Smash.
Honestly, Daisy, you shouldn't be crying because someone got in over you in Smash; you should be crying because it was your fault for not doing anything significant since your first appearance.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMYou know, this whole thing made we realise how wanting Waluigi as the sixth Mario rep instead of Rosalina was stupid of me. My choice was always Bowser Jr and Waluigi. I didn't want Rosalina for having a smaller roll, but then I realised how Waluigi doesn't even have a real roll at all. The most notable thing he's done was attempt to take over the world in a dance minigame. Rosalina is the character I had not realised was more important. She was the character who appeared more in platformers. The one who I never would have imagined would have such a unique fighting style.
So if there is a sixth rep, I want it be Bowser Jr. Sorry Waluigi.

Honestly, Daisy and Luigi's relationship seems to a "Take our word for it" kind of thing from Nintendo. They reference it on her Melee trophy and on her circuit in Mario Kart Wii, but they never seem to hang out often; their apparent relationship barely exists outside of extra material. Honestly it just feels like a case of Nintendo going "Luigi is Mario's equivalent, Daisy is Peach's, therefore they are a couple like them".
Please no, don't be so.
