...oh. Considering all the "WAAAAAH FLUDD SUCKS MARIO SHOULD HAVE HIS TORNADO OR A NEW SPECIAL" that goes on here, I thought it wasn't. But them complaining about things that are already confirmed is par for the course, so yeah...
But still, new cosmic stage for the 3DS, which is cool.

Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.I like how her character page just kind of casually spoils her appearance in Super Mario 3 D World though.
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSAre you referring to this picture?
◊ Based on the mountain tip you can see at the bottom, I think that may actually be the 3DS Battlefield.
Who really cares? Rosalina in Smash Bros. :D :D
Addendum: I was right about the previous daily pic's caption implying something.
Addendum 2: Do you think Rosie's appearance means the "leaked" newcomers don't hold any water anymore?

pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSSo Rosalina actually made it in. Color me surprised.
Her gameplay's reminding me a lot of Orianna, in that Rosalina can "throw" the Luma and use it to attack from some distance away. I have to commend Sakurai for continuing to find ways to generate unique movesets. Also the little arc she did with Mario's FLUDD was just beautiful.
Trailer was really nice too. I see I'm not the only one who'd really want a Rainbow Road stage.
-Lurking mode: OFF-
Jesus freakin' Christmas on a stick! Rosalina! I called it! I totally called it! She looks so awesome! PECK. YES!!
...
... -Cough-

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Rosalina seemed kind of broken from that trailer. It looks like she can free herself from grabs, deflect projectile attacks, attack two targets at once, and attack from a distance. One or two is okay but adding all that together could be problematic. I wonder what kind of handicap they'll give her to compensate.
Glad to see that 1) There's no sign that she's a clone of any kind like I was worried she might be when I first saw the announcement and there was something about her that struck me as Peach-like; and
2) GUSTY GARDEN GALAXY THEME! GUSTY GARDEN GALAXY THEME! ![]()

Though, I can't say the video did a good job of making her look like an exciting character to play. It was good up till and after the actual gameplay video, but the stuff in the middle? Meh.
Just got home from work, so I just found out everything that was revealed in the Direct. I'll just post my reactions here.
- I'm both elated and iffy about Rosalina's reveal. As another mentioned, her gameplay style makes me wonder if the Ice Climbers are going to make it in. Not that I'm saying that R&I play all that similar to the Ice Climbers. Similarly, some are complaining that she's being promoted too much and that other characters such as Daisy and Waluigi should have been playable first (either in this game or in Super Mario 3D World). I have no comment on this.
- Overall though, I'm glad the other Mario rep is her and that she has a unique fighting style. The trailer was absolutely adorable and I hope that it implies that the next Mario Kart-based stage will be Rainbow Road (hopefully with the Super Mario Kart music from the SNES game as one of its music tracks).
- note Hyrule Warriors looks really good, although I see the fanbase is as polarized as ever by its reveal (mostly centered on seemingly outdated opinions about the Dynasty Warriors franchise and the fact that it's a spin-off in general). I do hope that Link gets an alternate costume based on it. And maybe have a Final Smash based on it, as well.

You know, I saw this
◊ in the trailer and thought it was odd, but seeing it in screenshot form, it kind of looks like Chun-Li's Heavy Kikoken animation
◊.

That was confirmed a long long time ago. Like, months ago.
