"The game will have at least as much content (in terms of modes and stuff to do) as Melee."
That is not ideal. That's like a step back.
Yeah, It's pretty cool. I just wish it had all of the original 8.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMA lot of people hated the Diskun Last Lousy Point element, though.
I have no strong opinions on the potential release date, as I have no idea how much they have done.

"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"Nah, Negative Zone is fine.
Classic Wolf, Virtual Boy R.O.B., Concept Art Meta Knight and Pajama's Ness are cool.
Yoshi's new alt colours...
Yes. Yes. YES!
Finally, Orange and Purple Yoshi are so neglected in Mario games where Yoshi has palette swaps (sports games, Smash Bros, etc). Finally, Orange and Purple are palette swaps. YES!
Does anything happen in Smash 64 if you get all of them. I know you don't unlock anything but do you at least get a notice?
That's not even a good comparison. Bowser's changes just include him standing upright, being faster, and gaining a few new moves. Changing Diddy to a duo would almost be like losing a character because the general playstyle is gone completely.

Well then I've 100% complete Smash 64 then.
I've almost complete Brawl. I've got one challenge left, and I never used a Golden Hammer to break any of the tiles.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMI wouldn't mind bonuses returning, though I'd rather they don't unlock anything for getting them all, let them just serve as a battle mode (not that anyone really plays Bonus Mode), score in Classic Mode, and just an amusing statistic after battle.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Nope. It took 300 hours to get this far as it is. I just want to finish so I can just play versus mode without worrying about other players picking up new stickers for me.
I should clarify that the last challenge I have left is collect all the stickers.
Do I get a notice for it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMNo notices.
But it is recorded none the less. You can view who completed it at what Level as is. It'll actually show a different-colored SSB Symbol for each Difficulty Level. Let's say you put it on Very Hard. Now move the cursor over characters. The Symbol will show up only if you beat it with them.
This is present in all 3 games.
Shadow?
I don't know. Seems really superfluous.
It just feels like "Hey guys Dream Team is out now, so we need to have something from Dream Team for the sake of it."
Honestly, if anything, Luigi needs a move from Luigis Mansion.
Crap. Looks like I'm gonna be going back to Smash 64 for a few days.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMKeep in mind no game actually gives you a reward for doing any of that.(beyond finishing with each character overall in general, although I can't remember if 64 had any unlocks for finishing it with all 12...)
Beating it on every Difficulty with every Character isn't necessary, but if you want to go for true completion(as in every tiny thing possible)...
It's fun if you have the time and get bored with unlocking literally everything else. XD Actually, the only exception to this rule would be the Target Tests in Brawl. You do need to complete them with every Character and every Difficulty Level. Thankfully it's more tedious than hard in almost every case. Time-consuming, though.
Shadow?Personally, my thinking is more along the lines of "I like Negative Zone, but I would really like if Luigi's Final Smash was a move Luigi has, or based on something he's connected with." Hence my occasional referring to Negative Zone as Minus World, but that's getting off-topic. A few cosmetic changes would add that connection to Luigi's history (recent or distant) without removing the function or charm of the move itself, in my opinion.
It's for much the same reason that I wouldn't mind Bowser's final smash being something mechanically identical to its current form, but looking more like one of the various giant forms he uses in the Mario games.
edit:
On completion? Well, I've never 100% any of the games. But I'd be lying if I said that that "Wow! Incredible!" From Boss Battles Intense Mode wasn't kinda worth all the time put into it.

I have a message from another time...From a development standpoint, you don't want a game taking much more than two years. Most games operate on a two-year cycle. Even annual franchises like Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed work this way by alternating developers and having a metric fuckton of people working at Ubisoft, respectively. If it takes much longer than that, then something has upset the process. For example, Skyward Sword took five years to complete, because they basically stopped development for a year to experiment with Motion+. Games like Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines ended up with very long developments (and got bounced from studio to studio a few times) and ended up being messes because of it. The game taking too long, and moving from THQ to Ubisoft is why people worry about the fate of South Park: The Stick of Truth.
So yes, two years is an ideal development cycle.
What was that island called in New Leaf again?
Well, whatever. We can fight to sea shanties now!

Nintendo probably wants Smash out as soon as possible, as that's guaranteed to push Wii U sales. I'm guessing Q3 release personally, but I wouldn't be shocked if it gets pushed further back.
