[up][up]Okay, maybe 5. But it was pretty much the actual Ice Climbers stage with some enemies thrown in.

[up]See, someone else is saying nasty stuff to me and you're just letting it be ignored.

It occurs to me that the Find Mii stage would be the perfect place for Miis to show up! Your own Mii (in the cage), and Miis from your plaza occasionally popping in and doing magic as stage hazards!

edit:

[up] I'm sorry. I'm a coward, I know. I can't see any way to amicably resolve the discussion, so all I can think to do is try to steer the topic away, like I always do. I sincerely wish that I knew what to say to get everyone to agree with each other, and not insult or feel insulted, but I just don't.

Wait, I wrote that post like hours ago, and I've seen you say much more offensive and rude stuff. I guess it doesn't count when you act up, but when someone calls you out, it's time to holler at the mods? Figures. I've seen you be rude and disrespectful of people and their opinions throughout this thread as I've lurked, but when I said I don't want to deal with it (admitting, rather bluntly), I am being "mean" and deserved to be hollered at.

[up] x??: Oh right. I was trying to count up the stages I recalled, and kept getting 13 for some reason. ...wait, that is still 5 "adventure" stages. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero, and Ice Climbers. Then there are 7 "normal" stages, basically five "bosses" for those stages, then Metal Mario Bros than Bowser. (...I think Metal Mario Bros were Adventure, while Metal Whoever was Classic? I know there was at least one other "normal" stage that wasn't a boss for a "adventure" stage.)

You mean what happened a very long time ago and that I have stopped making personal attacks for at least a year now?

I've seen you get into a fight where you blatantly insult the person you were arguing with just the other day! You are a very hostle fellow, and, again, I want to be left out of it.

Anyway, Adventure Mode rules, SE drools.tongue

It seems there's always arguments going on in this thread. If someone is being a repeat problem, I just stop reading their posts. As long as you can recognize that parts of other people's posts may be in response to theirs and skip those parts accordingly, it's not that hard, and far better a solution than arguing endlessly when both sides are not going to give up anyway. True, it's not as good a solution as agreement, but if such a goal is impossible it's more practical to shoot for the second best.

Anyway, do you think we'll get ANY stages from a handheld game on the Wii U version or vice versa? Not counting Battlefield/Final Destination being on 3DS since they originated in Smash Bros.

I admit, I haven't been paying attention, but do we have stages exclusive to any version yet?

[up]Fair enough I suppose. Sorry for the trouble.

All the stages except Battlefield so far are exclusive between versions. And even that's aesthetically different.

I'm guessing so, but not the same ones. Kid Icarus Uprising will likely get at least one stage on both systems, but I doubt the Wii U version will be based on Chapter 11.

I sure said that!

Well, off the top of my head, there's no handheld Pikmin game, so that might break the rule of the 3DS only having stages based on handheld games.

It was an apology to the thread in general. It was just in response to the post above mind.

Anyway, wait, the Pikmen stage was 3DS? I thought it was Wii-U? or do they both have Pikmen stages?

Off the top of my head...

Wii U: Battlefield, that boxing ring, City Folk-inspired stage, Super Mario Galaxy stage, Pyrosphere, Garden of Hope, Windy Hill Zone or whatever it is, Dr. Wily's Castle, Pilotwings, Wii Fit stage, and Skyloft.

3DS: Battlefield, Nintendogs, Spirit Train, Super Mario 3D Land, Reset Bomb Forest, Animal Crossing New Leaf-inspired stage, Arena Ferox, and a mostly-unseen-so-far DKCR 3D stage.

Weird thing is that SSE had Voltorbs and Electrodes, except they weren't Voltorbs and Electrodes. Maybe they couldn't think of why those Pokemon were there, but really wanted to include them. Then again, since you find them at an electrical plant (or something), finding a justification shouldn't be hard.

That's because Voltorb and Electrode can't multiply. tongue

I THINK that's all the revealed stages so far. No Pokemon or Kirby stage yet, oddly.

Oh, forgot one more. Gerudo Valley on the 3DS.

@Enlong: I had been thinking it would be cool if they had it so your primary Mii would appear in the cage on the Find Mii stage. The Miis using magic as stage hazards is a good idea too.

Also, everything else is right, but I don't think we've seen an Animal Crossing stage for 3DS.

Also also, from the couple of seconds we saw of the Donkey Kong Country area in the trailer (well, and the fact that they've never shown it anywhere else), I got the sense that it might be something from the new Adventure Mode...but, I dunno.

[up] & [up]x7 - I hate how everyone thinks that stage is from Donkey Kong Country Returns. I've finished the game 200%, and I've been recently playing through the 3DS version so it's still fresh in my memory. The underground stages in DKCR did not look like that at all. It's most likely that this stage is Original Generation (and probably for Adventure Mode), and if it isn't, it sure as heck ain't a Donkey Kong stage.

Anyway, do you think we'll get ANY stages from a handheld game on the Wii U version or vice versa?

I wanted all the handheld stages on the console version, but alas.

3DS: Battlefield, Nintendogs, Spirit Train, Super Mario 3D Land, Reset Bomb Forest, Animal Crossing New Leaf-inspired stage, Arena Ferox, and a mostly-unseen-so-far DKCR 3D stage.

Nope. There's two versions of the AC-stage, but they're both on Wii U.

And lo and behold, a topic I started brings the mighty Otherarrow himself a black mark.

So what do you think the gimmicks for Gerudo Valley and the DKC level will be? I'm saying Whispy Woods for the former and nothing for the latter.

It certainly didn't look like Donkey Kong to me. The closest thing it resembles is 1-2 (King of Cling), but even then it's way too dark.

Trees doing something in the DKC stage. Either getting in the way(and providing platforms), or perhaps something like breakable branches, similar to how you can break stuff in Brinstar in Melee.

[up][up][up]I'm hoping for a side-scrolling stage based on the jungle levels. It should have elements that are a reference to the Jungle Hijinx stages of DKC1 and DKCR.
