If they had more enemies and locations from the different franchises, then it would just be Adventure Mode.
(which isn't a bad thing btw. A more fleshed out Adventure Mode would be lovely)

NO. It makes no sense why characters like Fox, Snake and Ike aren't talking at all.
You know all that All There in the Manual stuff that explains what's going on better than the actual cutscenes do, such as Dedede gathering heroes? If the characters who aren't know for being silent protagonists, we wouldn't have all this "read the official website to understand what's going on" BS.

No it wouldn't. Most of Melee's Adventure mode was fixed battles.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMI am pretty sure most of Adventure mode was the side scrolling stages, abit with fixed battles between stages.
Which I am pretty sure the Subspace Emissary did too, even if not as often (it was a much longer mode, after all).
So...I don't know what you are trying to argue. Of course, I've seen from other arguments on this forum topic that you are stubborn as all sin and refuse to let things lay down, so I am going to ask that this stops here. I am not in the mood to deal with your nonsense.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Well, that's why I said "I thought". I wasn't sure. He did mention showing them online too.
And yeah, I preferred Melee's as well. At least it felt like you were going through Nintendo series. With a side flavor of SSB only.
The SSE had a lot of problems, the obvious being Original Generation overuse. The reskinned Kirby enemies didn't help either. I kind of don't like dialogueless/voiceless(either or, I prefer dialogue myself, but something is nice) either. Melee's weren't any better, I admit. But they weren't overspread out either in Adventure Mode.
They're actually not that different at all. SSE had some unique enemies. Both had side-scrolling/moving sections. They both had bosses. They both had a powerful endgame boss. The biggest differences were the SSE forced characters on you(of course, you couldn't play more than one from the start in Melee's), you could replay those courses, and you had high gravity in the SSE compared to the earlier Adventure Mode. The Great Maze was somewhat similar to the first Zelda section in Adventure Mode. Find a boss to fight.

Shadow?Weird thing is that SSE had Voltorbs and Electrodes, except they weren't Voltorbs and Electrodes. Maybe they couldn't think of why those Pokemon were there, but really wanted to include them. Then again, since you find them at an electrical plant (or something), finding a justification shouldn't be hard.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"I wouldn't say that. There are only 3 (maybe 4, if you count the F-Zero one) platforming stages in Melee's Adventure mode, and one of those is extremely short. Meanwhile, there are about 16 to 18 normal battles.
In particular, what I really dislike about Melee's Adventure Mode compared to SSE is that it's just a straightforward series of fights that you repeat with every character, which really does make it feel like just a slight variation on Classic Mode. Even without cutscenes, regardless of whether or not the levels are Original Generation, I still think something akin to SSE feels much more like an "adventure".

Welcome to th:|I'd be content if the non-Classic single player mode for 4 was just a bigger version of The Great Maze portion of SSE from Brawl (or like the "Great Cave Offensive" from Kirby Super Star, which was linear compared to Great Maze, but allowed for exploration in its rooms), where you'd select one of the characters and just run through various Nintendo worlds while battling Nintendo baddies and bosses (though I'm fine with Original Generation enemies and bosses, even though their Expy-ness was obvious), and collecting more characters and/or trophies for use in the other modes.
I think a format like this would work better than simply remaking Melee's Adventure Mode, which was just another variant of Classic Mode except the main fights weren't quite as randomized as Classic Mode. Plus, if they add in All-Star Mode again, we'll just end up with three flavors of Classic, as before.

You know, truth be told, if they did make Adventure mode into a giant Metroidvania-style level like that I'd be completely fine with that.
I just didn't like the Great Maze because it just felt like a copy-paste from the rest of SSE that was tacked on. If they made it the actual main mode and focused on it that might work better.
I felt that way about it myself, but I agree with Nap overall. If they made it a primary mode rather than using it as an attempt to make the game longer, it'd probably be much better for it.
That's was basically my main beef with the Great Maze. Here I was ready to get through the final levels towards the final boss and suddenly, instead of regular levels, we're forced to play through a copy-pasted labyrinth with characters that weren't used before, in a portion of gameplay that happens to last about as long as the entire rest of the game.
I think I cracked the code.
I think that bosses (excluding Master Hand and Crazy Hand) are Events. It makes sense in my head, for some reason.
Yeah, that's what I thought. So I find the whole "Adventure Mode was dumb, they should do something like the SE" thing to be weird.
Also, sorry for the lateness of this post. I forgot that I didn't post it. ._.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.If you consider 4 out of 12 of the stages being platforming stages to be "most", then yeah sure...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMThere were twelves stages?
Wait, only four? There was the Mario one, the Zelda one, the Metroid one, the F-Zero one, I think Race to the Finish was in Adventure mode...I admit, it's been a long while.
Of course, even if I do list more than 4, you will find some bullshit way why those don't count, since you are obviously never wrong about anything.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Wow. Just wow.
Love how you choose to insult me because you just can't admit the bias of this forum where others get away with everything and defend them and I can't do anything. Nice.
And of course no-one else has a problem with it, even though I once got thumped for saying 'Neither can you' when somebody said 'You can't tell people what to do'
Enjoy the holler.
More fuel for the holler fire.

Race to the Finish wasn't there, but it did have the Ice Climbers stage (which was occupied with enemies, in case anybody wants to challenge that point).

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guy

All they need to do with Subspace is have more enemies and locations from actual franchises instead of Original Generation enemies, make the enemies less cheap, and have certain characters speak in the cutsecenes. Then it's golden.
