Yes. YES, I SAY. I was hoping Cranky was the third Kong! ...it hasn't been confirmed yet but I hope it's true.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaHave you been playing Mario lately? After his appearance in Sunshine, he was Bowser's second-in-command for New Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2, and being Co-Dragons with Kamek in New Super Mario Bros Wii and New Super Mario Bros U. And he's now been in the latest installments of Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi, being the bonus boss in the later, when traditionally the only main Mario characters that consistantly show up in the RPGs are Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser (heh, the Brawl 4).
You're not giving him enough credit.
Yeah, really not giving him credit here.
A stupid perception considering how the Koopalings hadn't shown up in years and were never going to be in Sunshine anyway.
Because he's an overrated one-shot joke.
Don't justify the bias.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMNo support. She looks pretty much the same as Samus, and there are more unique options for a humanoid Metroid character.
Same reason I'm against Dark Pit being playable.

I can rebut that by saying that if Dark Samus keeps it's posture different from Samus (likely being more twitchy and primal than being ready to fire at a moment's notice), they'd be discernible, and unlike Pit/Dark Pit they have different enough bodies that it's easy to tell them apart. Dark Samus is noticeably more organic and glowy than Samus, with whom it's easy to tell that the Power Suit is a mechanical device.
I can see why Mysterious Black Dude Sylux or Weavel would be more unique, though (Weavel especially, due to the Halfturret).
I don't know enough about Dark Samus to comment, but I'm totally in favor of Dark Pit being playable.
As an alternate costume of Pit, anyway. Like the male Wii Fit Trainer, he could have different voice clips. (At least, I'm assuming the male Wii Fit Trainer has different voice clips. It'd be a tad odd if he didn't.)
EDIT: Actually, I just realized, Dark Pit wouldn't be an alternate costume, technically. He'd just be a recolor with different voice clips.

"We're home, Chewie."
Dark Pit would just be a palette swap. He looks the same. Alts are for costumes that actually look different and not just colour-wise.
Not being able to use my Mii online would be infavourable.
I really don't want it to turn out like that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMAnd all this time I was thinking it'd be the return of Kiddy Kong.
I don't think it really matters. It's not like there'd be a Vocal Dissonance issue. Dark Pit's voice still suits regular Pit's design.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMAlthough Pit and Dark Pit are (as of Uprising) voiced by the same person, so I see no reason that we can't have alternate voice clips. At the very least, some for the taunts, Final Smash, and victory poses.

Not...quuuiiiite. There is a distinct difference between Pit and Dark Pit's voices. Their voice actor (whose name I unfortunately forget at this time) specifically performed their voices differently to reflect their personalities. Pit's more excitable and upbeat, while Dark Pit is a little more subdued and...well...dark.
Ninja'd, ish?

"We're home, Chewie."
Look, he's gonna be spending mist of his dialogue making battle sounds. Does it really matter?
Especially since it was a palette for him in Brawl before they even made it into it's own character. Voice still worked there.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMWell, yeah, it worked in Brawl because the character didn't exist yet. Like you said. There was no baseline. That was just a fallen angel-type color pallete for Pit because Dark Pit wasn't a thing.
And I'm not saying it's super necessary, dude, I'm just saying it'd be a cool detail.
"We're home, Chewie."
That's fine. I just don't see the need for palette swaps to have voice changes, is all.
Really hope the Villager gets a female alt for symmetry with the Wii Fit Trainer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMIt's not needed (it worked back in Brawl, and Peach never needed Daisy's voice) but it'd still be a cool detail.
Although the battle grunts wouldn't need revoicing, since in the heat of a fight it's kind of hard to hear. Just the more extensive lines (i.e. "You can't defeat me!" to "Were you even trying?")
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaAnd if Pit has any lines calling out to Palutena, change that. As we all know, Dark Pit isn't exactly the praying type.
We-ll, to the people who like(d) the Koopalings from playing Mario 3 or Mario World, it must have been a worrying trend. The charcers don't show up for a few games, and then a new character is introduced who appears to be filling the niche they had. I can understand people being worried about the Koopalings' future after that.
Now they've showed up again, though, so that worry has been dispelled.
Not sure I want Bowser Jr. in the game in any case, though. Not unless he uses the Magic Brush.
And in that case, ya might as well use Adeline.

I have a message from another time...
Adeline is a one-shot character though.
No matter how much she appears in Brawl In The Family.
Hey, Adeline has a good chance.
Also, if you try to make Dark Pit do the codec: "What? I'm not asking them for help, I can do this by myself!"
