Game Stop has just registered the 4 versions with the release date as April 8. I don't trust this too much, seems too good to be true.
I was thinking earlier, and got a weird idea for Mega Man's Final Smash.
Black Hole Bomb- Mega Man shoots a sphere a short distance before it detonates (it can be moved up and down and detonated early). It sucks nearby people in and does damage to them before launching them out- it's a more powerful, projectile version of Power Suit Samus, basically.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI would be amused by Ravio from A Link Between Worlds using the items you can get from his shop. Afer all, the items show a little picture of Ravio using each item when you select them in the shop.
B: Ice Rod: Ravio holds the rod up, and an ice block forms in the air. Releasing B drops it in front of him, damaging and maybe freezing the target.
Side B: Fire Rod: Ravio swings the fire rod, sending a little flaming whirlwind that crawls on the ground to deal damage.
Down B: Sand Rod: Ravio causes a line of three sand blocks to burst out of the ground, launching enemies or blocking projectiles. You can stand on the blocks, too.
Up B: Tornado Rod: Ravio zips into the air with a litle whirlwind, and then slows his fall with the propellors on the rod.
...okay, maybe it's not Ravio I want, so much as I am in love with the magic rods.
I have a message from another time...Yuga might be cool. He does carry a bit of the Ghirahim problem of being a one-game villain, but maybe.
Since not all the stages have walls, maybe Yuga could portrait into the ground?
Another issue is that while Yuga's final smash is obvious, it has the issue of stepping on another character's toes, as it were.
If nothing else, I hope we get a Lorule stage in the 3DS version.

I have a message from another time...It would be a pretty terrible move if there weren't.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI'm going to be somewhat pessimistic here and say he's going for a more minimalized game like SSB 64 and most "Vs. Mode and a generic ladder match mode" fighters, rather than the content-fests that were Melee and Brawl. And with more focus on balancing the existing characters than adding new ones.
I'd like if he gave us a screenshot of something besides just vs. mode, in fact. Anything; a menu, another game mode, ect. Until we see they exist I feel hesitant to believe this will be as grandiose a game as the last two.
I don't doubt the possibility he just hasn't shown much, but for now I'm erring on the side of pessimism.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Story mode is the only thing he's explicitly said will be cut and even then I'm pretty sure he said it would just be the cutscenes. Adventure mode should still be in there. He's also got Namco-Bandai helping. I'm sure he'll be able to include a ton of stuff especially when he's said he won't let the 3DS version restrict the Wii U version.
He's barely cut any features as is. We've lost a few Bonus Modes, and that's kind of it for features. He's changed up versions, like switching out the plain-as-day Lottery for the Coin Launcher, which is more active. He changed up the Target Tests to being generic. Story Mode only technically existed in the first game, but Classic was the same thing anyway. Just less specific and more random.
The only thing he fully removed was Board the Platforms and that was it. Even though he directly took out Race to the Finish, he did at least include something akin to that in the SSE, which is just that, you had a time limit on the stage that leads to the Meta-Ridley fight. It's obviously not the same, but at least the overall thing wasn't completely lost.(you do have to do some platforming, and get to the end, and like in the first game, deal with enemies, but for once, you have to fight, including a boss. Plus, obstacles as well) I'm glad the spirit of it wasn't lost.
I do miss Board the Platforms, though. That was very much fun, or at least rather challenging and unique.
Nobody knows. Some are just sure that only 3 new guys doesn't seem right, that's all. Pure gut feeling.

Shadow?

I'm going to assume holiday 2014 barring any delays. Seems like a reasonable time frame if work was started in 2011 and Namco-Bandai is helping.
