I'm sure the game can handle that many polygons around. If it can handle the fighting whatever teams in Multi-Man Melawl then I doubt a duplicate character would push things over the edge too much. Plus, it's on a more powerful system than the other games, so I'm sure they'll have enough memory so long as they don't overload the disc like they did with Brawl.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. The reason I'm worried is because the Ice Climbers themselves apparently have a big question mark hanging over them. and if it turns out they can't be implemented, then that would certainly put a nail in the coffin of a power-up that would make any character do what they do to the processor.
That said, I'd love the Double Cherry to be in the game. It strikes me as a wonderful sort of item for this kind of game.
I have a message from another time...Yeah, I noticed that too. Seems a bit callous to a near sociopathic degree if you ask me. "Bah, who cares that you're literally working yourself to death? MAKE THE GAME HOW I WANT IT YOU JACKASS!" (I jest, but I wouldn't be surprised to find a comment made like that in complete seriousness.)

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.the comments were less that, and more people calling him arrogant for seeing it like the game nees him to have hands-on direcion.
I agree that one should probably be more worried as to whether this is healthy.
On other subjects, I kind of wish that, instead of being the earlier parts of Mario 3D world, the Mario 3D World stage insted focused on Bowser Land, in all its decadent glory.
I have a message from another time...Considering he essentially seems to consider the series his baby, I don't see it as arrogant at all, just extreme perfectionism to an overly obsessive and self-harming degree.
Bowser Land, the happiest place on earth?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. Not at all. There is a much stronger work ethic that is inherently embedded in Japanese culture, going WAAAAAY back and still continuing today, so at least partially chalking his work habits to that isn't too much of a stretch. I do need to wonder if Sakurai's level of workaholism is the norm for Japanese workers, though.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. That article is by Event Hubs. Any comments will always give anyone headaches.
And I think the balance thing might have been lost in translation somewhere. I'm pretty sure he's saying he wants to keep the cast as varied as possible and not end up with the same character 45 times over or so, because that's what most people think when they think perfect balance.
I kinda disagree with that notion because I think as long as everyone has positive aspects to them (besides power anyway, since we all know how glacier characters usually fare), you can keep the cast varied and have a relatively balanced game. It wouldn't be perfect mind you, but it would be good enough.

The Wii U could handle it easily, but it depends on if the 3DS version will support always-on 3D.
And I kinda like Giga Bowser, if only for being a simple expansion on a recurring concept for hm, even if it is original to Smash.

I sure said that!
