It's very common for people to leave out "I believe that...", considering it to be obvious from context. I have Asperger's, so this is a common sticking point with me, but I can still understand - to a degree - why people do that.

Magcargo, you are not alone. I too would like for Anomalocaris, and indeed people in general, to abstain from making such incorrect and baseless statements on the basis of subjective attitudes towards a character.

I too agree with Magcargo. I will not rest until this grave injustice is brought to the proper light it deserves! Even if I have to link this discussion on every single topic on every single forum, I will not stop until Anom realizes he can't say things people disagree with because then they get blown up to such a degree!

See, it's totally all his fault and not at all ours because we are on the side of justice!

Did TV Tropes become Tumblr when I wasn't looking?

Actually, I get the joke.

@Evi: Okay, I laughed.

But moving on, I'm a bit confused about Zelda Classic, but I should be able to figure it out. I do like the overall design of it. It's just a lot of freakin' options.

I really don't want to continue with that conversation. Please drop it.

I'm liking this new picture, as it shows more off of the actual Stage. It may be another Delfino Plaza. I wonder if only some of the course has that gravity rule. This might be the most unique course Sakurai's given us out.

I don't think that's part of the actual stage.

"Sakurai: "Pic of the day. Starship Mario floats up high in the Mario Galaxy stage. Lubba is on board as well."

It technically is. I don't know if we can fight on it, though. It might be a background event like the loop-de-loop on Green Hill Zone that shows off Silver, Knuckles, and Tails.

I consider background images to not be part of the actual stage. That's what I think is going on here.

Well, it IS a part of the actual stage. Just not a part of the foreground where you fight. Details make the painting, you know.

But we can all have different definitions and viewpoints of stuff. Everyone sees a thing differently.

Nah, I figured out what you're getting at. It does make sense. I define stage as the entire place you're playing in. Every little thing. You're referring to only things you can interact with. Both make sense.

Ugh. Lubba.

...well, okay, it's not all that fair to hate on Lubba for being less interesting than Rosalina. It's more the Faceship itself that I didn't like as much as a hub, and Lubba was more like a symptom of the change, which also included the smaller size of the hub, and the switch to a more old-style level map. I do hope the Comet Observatory will also be visible.

I had hoped the Comet Observatory would have been the Galaxy stage, acting as a hub for a few other areas a main platform would arrive to via Launch Star.

Still pretty happy with Mario Galaxy, though.

I sure said that!

Agreed, Pulse. Delfino Plaza was pretty cool like that. I mean, this could've been kind of like Final Destination or Venom, which have a moving background(sometimes affecting the course).

Or like Mute City/Delfino Plaza, where you actually go onto different platforms entirely.

Based on the pictures we've seen, it looks like the background does move. Compared to this one, this shows the Toad Brigade ship in the background and the airship is much farther away, and this has the airship even farther off, and the Faceship is facing the opposite direction and next to a planet that is not present in the others.

Guys, clearly this stage is beyond Hell Valley. So you can guess what one of the hazards is evil grin

I was hoping for a Mute City/Pokemon Stadium-esque stage, though. This still works, of course!

Right. So, hopefully, the Comet Observatory will be one of the things to fly by.

I prefer the Faceship to the Comet Observatory, personally. At least with the Faceship they didn't try to pretend it was an interesting hub level like Peach's Castle or Delfino Plaza, plus bringing new passengers on board was fun and it's sorta hard not to like the idea of flying on a giant Mario head compared to a fairly generic space-station thingy.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

I personally liked the Faceship more because, well, it actually seemed like you were traveling through space. With the Observatory, it was basically just a static hub world that just happened to launch Mario into the far reaches of space. Not bad on it's own, but in a game like Galaxy, I always felt it was...weird.

Meh.

To each his own. I preferred the atmosphere of the observatory, the larger size, and the eventual ability to fly around it.

And I preferred the zoom-out ring map setup of the galaxy select screen to the SMB 3-style map screen.
