I'd prefer if Peach costumes were Peach costumes, rather than character switches. There's her Mario Kart outfit, or her wedding dress from Super Paper Mario, for example.
Mario could get the Flying Mario outfit, and Luigi needs a Mr. L costume.
Come to think of it, I'd adore it if Luigi's Final Smash became the Brobot L Type.
And I really don't like the idea of Charizad getting a Ridley costume. They're from entirely different games, and it'd be a bit odd unless Squirtle became Kraid and Ivysaur Flaahagra. And [[: ]] became a Space Pirate. None of which are ideas I think are good.

Nobody knows.

He didn't get it in Brawl, and it's still a costume. I felt it worth mentioning.
Also, more costumes for Pokemon Trainer. Having a variation of Leaf and Brendan's design was not enough. Give him(or her) real changes.
Again, Blood Falcon is already a costume, only without his full attire. It's still blatantly Blood Falcon when it even says that on the back of his red costume. That, and if the male Wii Fit Trainer is a real alternate costume, that no longer exists an issue. Or the fact that it's still a costume based upon somebody Peach is not, Daisy. It's already happened, and probably will continue to, just done better than the half-assed versions. It doesn't matter anyway. The're just costumes as references and nothing more.

Shadow? If they want to make costume changes that reflect different characters, they should change the voicelines to make it more enjoyable.
Yes, I am the guy who refused to call Magikarp Power "not worth the effort"What's stopping her from using her umbrella in other costumes? Granted, the dress point might be an issue with the biker outfit, but I figure they could sitll pull it off, even if the animation would look a bit off.
And I don't really consider the male and female variants of the Wii Fit Trainer to be enirely different characters. More like the same character with a different sex. I'd consider a male Robin the same character as a female Robin, for example.

I doubt they will, except for gender changes. It's a bit unnecessary to go that far and pay more money for a simple costume, unless it's a gender difference. The reason for that is a male sounding like a female might sound just a bit weird, especially in the case of Wii Fit Trainer. There are two separate Trainers in this case, one male and one female. They have their own voice actors in Wii Fit, right? I haven't played, mind you.
Or they could stick with dresses. And yeah, not seeing how they're the same character(unless it's implied they are in the game and they can directly gender change at will, which I don't remember that, just that they're two different characters with the same role, which is super common among video games. Shining Force is a huge example of this, so many Knights...) at all. And even then, once again, Captain Falcon and Blood Falcon are absolutely not the same character, yet he's a costume. Since 64, this existed as a costume, as a simple reference. And in Melee it went further by making it look even more like Blood Falcon instead of Captain Falcon, going as far as changing the words on the back of their jacket. Alternate Character costumes are already in Smash.

Shadow?
It'd still be the only possible way to believably add Lucina and Chrom to the Brawl, though.
I rather think Lucina's chances are quite slim indeed, sad to say. Well, they always were, because Marth was always gonna be in.
I figure it's probably gonna be Marth, Ike, and Chrom/Robin. I'd prefer Robin, because spellcasting. I'd also accept Marth, Micaiah, and Chrom, but Ike being dropped is less likely, if they were to add another Tellius character anyway.

Tragically, he's got a point.
Though I'd rather have actual Lucina instead of Char!Lucina

Yes, I am the guy who refused to call Magikarp Power "not worth the effort"Costumes I'd like to see:
Mario: Flying, Fire, Doctor, Tanooki?
Luigi: Flying, Fire, Mr. L, Kitsoone?
Peach: Wedding dress, Fire dress
Bowser: ...?
Wario: Classic style
Yoshi: ...?
Ike: Clothes for each of his possible classes
Marth: Ditto?
Pit: Dark Pit again, maybe if they give him a seperate voice pack.
Link: Casual wear (whether that be goatherder or Skylofian garb)
Toon Link: Lobster jammies
Zelda: ...hard to say, since we haven't seen her yet. But I do love Skyward Sword's casual wear.
Samus: Fusion Suit, Dark Suit, Light Suit
Villager: Outfits imported from New Leaf.
I'll probably think of more laer

Don't you mean not having Costume!Lucina? I agree, since she's a notable female, at least.
Not that there aren't others among the series. Krystal, Captain Syrup, just for starters.
Dry Bowser. Funky Kong. Chunky Kong. Possibly 3 different black costumes for Link and Toon Link. His black costume in Melee, pure black like in the Event, and the black with red eyes like in Brawl. What's interesting is all of those except the black clothes have shown up in regular Zelda games. The black clothes was a gameshark color people used on OOT as well. I think it first showed up in there, but that's just a great coincidence that Sakurai used the same color. Perhaps to contract the White costume, or even to give you the idea of playing a Dark Link variation.(in the same sense as playing as the Daisy costume in Melee/Brawl or the Blood Falcon costume solely in 64)

Shadow?That's my suggestion as well.
For Yoshi, I'd settle for having just the white and black Yoshis as a sort of "it's not a texture change, but have two color swaps to compensate for it".
Yarn Yoshi is also possible, but that game seems to have dropped off the face of the earth in favor of Yoshi's Island 3D.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yarn Yoshi, if Square Enix has any appearances, a Boshi costume would be great. Or a Blargg-like costume. Even a regular Velociraptor would be fun.
Sonic should've had color changes like Mr. Game & Watch did, based upon some of his friends. Red for Knuckles, for instance. His dark costume was kind of funny, since he gained a second bracelet on each wrist for no seemable reason.(my best guess is that it's a very light reference to Shadow, as his bracelets are an important part of his character's powers?)
Shadow?

Yep. Sakurai is too unpredictable to say a thing. Unlike every other reveal, Marth wasn't revealed during a direct or on the release of a single Fire Emblem game(even as DLC). It's really hard to say what he's thinking.
If you're wondering, I think alternate costumes that make sense are a good idea too. Like Mario getting Shadow Mario or perhaps Galaxy Mario.(Shadow Mario would only work if he's not playable via a Bowser Jr. who could show up)
Or Samus getting her other suits, like Dark Samus(the suit, perhaps the literal character too).
Or Charizard at least getting his Shiny costume... and if somehow Ridley isn't playable, a Ridley skin.
There's also Captain Falcon getting a slightly better version of his Blood Falcon costume(it's near complete, but lacks the spikes and face). Another is Peach getting a direct Daisy costume(since there's no reason not to anymore if there's an actual male Wii Fit Trainer costume), and possibly a Rosalina(and even Pauline) set. She also has Nurse Peach, although I forget if it was also in Brawl.
Shadow?
