Introducing updated and stunning nose-adjustment technology!
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Didn't they say in the direct that Mega Man's Mega Upper was the only move they'll take from the MvC series or something like that?.
EDIT: No, I just checked. They said it was his only move that was a punch. Nevermind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMYeah, all of Mega Man's moves (shown as of current) are taken from games he's appeared in, even the "Mega Upper", which is from Power Fighters/Power Battles/one of the two.
There's even little things, like the fact that he has to vent out his busters if he uses two (which will most likely have no effect on gameplay). Just like in Super Adventure Rock Man.

A Laser wisp as an item would be pretty boss. Pick it up, you have a few seconds to aim, and off you go. It would be balanced by the fact that unless the user has badass 4-second geometry skills, it'll mostly only be accurate in a perfectly straight line, one of those items whose usefulness varies widely per stage.

I never liked them, but I didn't play Colors, only Generations.
I've wanted a Sonic game that's like what we saw in the opening of Sonic CD, something that focuses on Sonic's natural abilities. When they gave him multicolored companions that allow him to drill through things, blast off, hover, all things that could more or less be accomplished with the Super Spin Dash and series trademarks, it came off as gimmicky.
And there's the idea of giving Sonic new, toony pals to hang around with. Wisps are mute, jellyfish aliens with energy that "surpasses" the Chaos Emeralds. At least, unlike Chip, they don't talk, but they're still obnoxious.
They're not game-ruining, but they're not necessary either. If they removed Super Sonic, a trademark of the series, for the Wisps just to make Sonic 'more' modern, it would probably aggravate a lot of people. Imagine if Link was actually replaced fro the roster with Toon Link, or if Pikachu was replaced by a Pokemon from X and Y.
As Assist Trophies or part of a Special Move though, they wouldn't be so bad.
Depends on how you design the Final Smash. I personally would prefer Super Sonic, but if he ruins the competitive scene, who am I to argue?
Someone might say, "But wait, Fennekin/Froakie aren't the faces of Pokemon! Why is Pikachu out of the roster!" If SSB is more about celebrating Nintendo's greatest, the most identifiable elements should be incorporated, not the newest ones, I'd think.

Replacing Super Sonic with Wisps sounds less like trolling and more like giving people what they want, given that many of them complained about how overpowered Super Sonic was.
People would stop complaining that Nintendo is a creatively bankrupt corporation that relies on artifacts and doesn't change their I Ps? And start complaining that it's different?

"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"Pikachu's isn't that bad. It's harder to hit with than Sooper Snoic, doesn't deal as much damage, and doesn't seem to last as long. Sooper Snoic can get two kills on the same person.
Anyway, love the pic of the day. It's nice to see Sakurai is still a bit of a troll.
Mario looks as if he's about to punch Luigi in the nose. Or maybe he did and that's why Luigi is adjusting it.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! They only came up with Wisps a few years ago. I don't see why they're relevant for Smash, especially considering they deliberately made Mega Man strictly classic Mega Man in appearance and moveset.
Well, they're supposed to be animals, but they don't look anything like them. Like, you can't even tell what Sonic or Knuckles are supposed to be. Wisps on the other hand actually do look like animals, or objects or whatever.

Mewtwo's a good choice, though.
I sure said that!
