I recently did a more in-depth comparison of Link and Toon Link's moves in Brawl.
Toon Link has only four completely original moves: his Neutral Aerial, Backward Aerial, Foward Throw and Backward Throw. He also has three half-clone moves: Foward Smash, Up Smash and Forward Aerial.
The appalling thing here is that the four moves that aren't clone moves are moves that regular Link has as kicks. This implies that if Toon Link had longer legs, those moves would have been clone moves as well. In fact, the game register's Toon Link's forward throw as a kick when it is clearly a shoulder barge.

Any particular reason why you're continuing ranting about a negative viewpoint that's more-or-less exclusive to you when everyone else has moved on?
Ah, alright.
Anyway, more Pokemon ideas!
- Drifblim - Constrict/Fly: Floats over to the nearest enemy and grabs them with its arms. Then it starts floating up, up, and away. It can be broken out of, but it's harder than the average grab.
- Tornadus/Thundurus - Hurricane: When one comes out, it flies off and nothing happens. However, it means that the odds that the other will come out go way up. When that happens, both of them summon a massive hurricane. It constantly does damage to all players besides the one who released Thundurus, and a large column of raging air will hit the center of the screen and move left and right, doing major damage against anyone who hits it except the one who released Tornadus.
- Noivern - Boomburst: Takes center stage and sends out rings of sound. When they hit someone, they burst, akin to a Bob-omb of sound.
- Hawlucha - Sky Drop: Runs across the stage. If he makes contact with someone, he takes them up into the air and drops them down hard. (Think Kirby's throw but more painful.)
- Purrloin - Thief: Vanishes in a puff of smoke. The next time an enemy picks up an item, Purrloin appears again, takes the item, and vanishes for good.

Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Actually Enlong brought up Toon Link at the top of this page.
Any particular reason you feel the need to dismiss anyone you don't agree with as invalid?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMWell, I brought him up more as a brige to talk abou Masked Link again, but that's probably just me dismissing stuff again, right? So I'll just go ahead and dismiss my continued contribution to this line of conversation so we can move on.
Where were we? Ah, yes, Pokeballs.
If Hawlucha is a Pokeball, it'd be nice for him to use Flying Press. Useless as it is in his actual game, it is his signature move, so to speak.

I have a message from another time...I was talking to Thnikkafan about dismissing, not you.

Considering how Sakurai said that not everyone will not return in this installment, clones should be less present more than ever. Any clone that returns needs to have to justify why they returned, like Luigi. Luigi becomes more diversified from Mario in each Smash game.
Especially since Sakurai said on the interview about not adding characters from fighting games because he wants to add characters that bring something unique to the table.

I seriously can see Stunfisk getting in as a Pokeball item, regardless of how he acts. Or being the new Goldeen, since his Running Gag in the Anime is being mostly useless. He could even be a Banana Peel essentially.
I suppose I was more referring to earlier on today, when you were saying something about me dismissing Mewtwo as playable? I didn't have a device capable of making big posts on hand at the time, but I would like to say that I wasn't referring to Mewtwo in particular at all at the time. Rather, I was saying that new characters and old characters shouldn't be condemned for their relative creation time, this series having characters from all eras anyway. In fact, at the time, if I was referring to anything in particular, it would have been Fire Emblem characters, not Mewtwo.
Perhaps I wasn't the specific one the line was directed at just now, but I'm noticing a pattern here, is all.
And In general, I don't like when someone's entire point is dismissed out of hand. For whatever reason (they're arguing from a different understanding of the situation, they are coming to a different conclusion, you think they're the one dismissing stuff, etc.)
So, I'm sorry if I trod on the wrong ground, there.
edit: Toon Link was more diversified from Link than Young Link was (diferent properties on his spin, a boomerang that hits people at all points in the flight, down-air retooled into a ballistic missile, etc.) so I imagine the same drift may continue.

I have a message from another time...They were dismissing though. They didn't agree with me and thus were like "Well Imma accuse you of Nostalgia Goggles then".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMSo who will be this game's "Ye Olden Days" character? In Melee and Brawl, they added a character that was a relic of some bygone era of Nintendo. First it was Game&Watch, then it was R.O.B
This year, I nominate.......James Bond from Goldeneye.
And also, I Ninja as an item trophy.
My various fanfics.
I'm hoping for Takamaru. Why else would they rep his game in Nintendo Land?

And in turn, you took that part of his response as the only thing going.
If unnecessarily boiling the other person's point down to a single dismissable statement is going on here, I rather think it's happening on all sides.
Heck, that might be going on with me at the moment. Wow
I'd like Takamaru a lot. I hope Sakurai feels the same way about him being in Nintendoland. Sakurai's one reason why I'm never sure about a theory going into this, as he's proven able to throw curve balls many a time.

I have a message from another time...Oh my god.
Look, everyone, I'm truly sorry I decided to continue talking about this. With no sarcasm, I want to apologize for letting this go on. This is bad on all sides, including, and perhaps especially mine, in a way reminiscent of the worst Sheik discussions.
Can we go back to Pokeballs?

I have a message from another time...

Toon Link is an interesting idea, but I'd still have prefered it if the whole Young Link concept had taken the idea of it being Link of Majora's Mask further, and used the transformation masks. But you guys have heard me go on about Masked Link concepts far too many times already.
On those Poke Ball ideas, I just want to say that that's not, by any stretch of the imagination, what Imprison does. Maybe use Hex as the starting point, instead. Or Curse.
And I'd prefer it if Yveltal using Oblivion Wing manifested as a beam.
And Honedge actually ever learns Double Edge. Shadow Claw might be better for that concept.
