Two characters I would like are Saki or Isa Jo from the Sin & Punishment series; Saki was an assist trophy in Brawl.
The other character I would like but he might not happen is John Raimi from Geist.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureOr he could keep Ike who actually appeared in more than one game; one of the very few lords to be the star of more than one game besides Marth himself. Chrom's a one-shot lord, unless he gets a second game. He's no more important than Roy, Sigurd or Hector.
Why on earth would you think that Chrom being hypothetically in would automatically cause Ike to be left out? They can both be equally in.
Eh, sorry to break it to you, but I'm almost certain Chrom is getting in because his game does have significance to the Fire Emblem franchise—specifically, Fire Emblem Awakening's success saved the series from dying.
You're definitely right about Chrom actually being a notable character, given that he's the main character of a game that saved the series. Besides, it's already out, so advertisement potential would be too late, anyways.

How many games have Ike been in? I know his descendant(Priam) is in Awakening as a Bonus Boss/optional party member.

Still the most recent game in the series. Plus they can still gain extra revenue by getting more copies sold even after it's initial release.
I don't want both in. Smash's Fire Emblem roster shouldn't consist of three Blue-Haired Sword Lords. Fire Emblem's roster needs some diversity.

Unless they want to advertise Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem but we don't know how far in development that game is currently.
And that's advertising too. I hate it. It's like how Sakurai admitted recently that Game Freak chooses Pokemon reps based on "What’s the hot Pokemon?" rather than "What Pokemon have had great importance throughout our series and have earnt their place by their role in the franchises history".

Clearly you wrongly accuse me of stuff, because I have.
"Well first of all, we talk with the Pokemon company. What’s the hot Pokemon? What Pokemon are in the movies right now? And really do a lot of research on that front."
Game Freak may not choose directly, but since they own the IP, they have a say and can deny access to certain pokemon if they want to.
Seriously, why do you feel the need to heckle me and argue with me about EVERYTHING. Will the world be thrown into chaos if someone on this site actually agrees with me for once?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMYes. Nobody was supposed to break silence on it, but I feel it's important if everyone involved knows of the cosmic balancing act at play here
Seriously, though, I would prefer Robin, but I'd be okay with Chrom. I don't think him being new is enough reason to condemn him. He deserves an equal shot. That being said, I'd prefer either Ine an Robin or Micaiah and Chrom to Ike and Chrom. Or Micaiah and Ike, for that matter.

I have a message from another time...Not sure which Pokemon reps we'll get. Jigglypuff, Lucario, Mewtwo, and some sort of Trainer are all obvious guesses. Zoroark or Genesect are candidates from gen V. Gardevoir is fairly relevant in X and Y, so that's another possibility.

No it isn't. It's how we get characters who outstay their welcome long after they've past relevance like Jigglypuff being in Brawl.
This is really shallow thinking. It's the kind of Executive Meddling thinking I don't want to see from anyone.
Example: MEWTWO. One of the most important and iconic legendary in the franchise. And yet some people act like he only matters because he has his Unnecessary MegaMewtwo Y and Hideous MegaMewtwo X and act as if he's some random pokemon like Diglett rather than the legendary Pokemon and important character in the series that he is. Have some respect.
Characters can be important in other ways besides being that new guy who will cease to be relevant when the next game in their franchise comes out (*cough* Chrom). That's just shallow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMMewtwo often has an event associated with him, but X and Y is the first time he's been relevant since FR/LG. To think otherwise puts you in firm Nostalgia Goggles territory.
Wow, you don't agree with someone so much that you'll accuse them of Nostalgia Filter to discredit them. Wow.
Are you talking to me?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMThen please tell me who should replace Jigglypuff while at the same time filling the void of one with a similar moveset? By now, Jigglypuff is staying not because Jig's just a veteran, it's also because there isn't a lot that could act as a replacement. Out of all characters, Jigglypuff is one of the few with a strong launcher that isn't randomized and doesn't require a start-up time.

Signatures are for lamers. And another thing: Has Sakurai ever said anything thing about this supposed "Original Twelve must return" rule?
Because I'm pretty sure it's purely coincidence. Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Samus, Fox, Yoshi, Donkey Kong and Captain Falcon are all teh main characters of their series (in Yoshi and DK's case, sub-series). Luigi is one of the main Mario characters. Ness is the main protagonist of his game, and he's an expy of the protagonist of the first game, meaning he sorta reps tow of the three games in the series.
Jigglypuff on the otherhand, was only hugely popular around the time of Smash 64 and Melee, and probably made it into Brawl because it would have been easier to import her than make a different character. I think she was one of the last characters to be added beside Wolf, Toon Link and Sonic, if I recall correctly.
@Gary CX Jk - Why do we need someone with a similar moveset. If that happens you might as well keep Jiggs.
No, it's not because he's old. Nice fallacy there.
It's because he's the most important legendery Pokemon (in a meta way, because technically Arceus is most important
). The most iconic legendary pokemon. And one of the most memorable legendary Pokemon.

This is why they shouldn't do stuff like add "Hip" characters or clones like Dr Mario in the first place.
They'd save a lot of heartbreak if they didn't add characters who most likely weren't gonna return.
