I'm so excited for this that I can't wait until we get the detailed change list at Smashboards, so I can make a proper judgement call. Still, its attacks seem to have greater knockback, but I really would like to know its weight. I'm a bit disappointed that its specials are mostly the same, but you gotta make due with what you have.
Now I know I'm gonna download 3.0 when it comes out. And after I find a 2GB SD card.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"![]()

Funny enough, a couple of days ago, I had a dream that went something like this:
Me in dream: (checking the Smash Bros. website) OK, Pokemon X/Y is about to come out, so surely the next reveal will be from Pokemon...
(sees the Challenger Approaching text, scrolls down and sees...Kirby with Marth's hair.)
Me in dream: ...OK, I'm REALLY confused now.

OK, if Mewtwo is in Smash 4, HE MUST PLAY LIKE THAT!
(And it would be an AWESOME coincidence if Mewtwo gets revealed tomorrow.)

Was looking through pictures on the site, and I just realized—is it just me or does this look very suspiciously similar
◊ to some official art from
◊ the Sonic game that shan't be named?

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I HAVE RETURNED!!! *lightning strike*
Okay, I kinda promised myself I wouldn't rejoin this thread until I had caught up, but considering I'm like 500 posts behind, and I wanted to be here before the Pokemon rep gets revealed, I might as well return now.
So here's my initial reaction to the trailer and each of the newcomers:
Super Smash Bros 4 - E3 Trailer
I was waiting for this all night when the Nintendo Direct was on, and I knew they'd save it for last. It was awesome! It looks amazing. The character models are superb and the graphics are sweet. I was definitely hyped, it especially made up for how I was sorta let down about the new 3D Mario platformer.Okay, now the characters:
Villager I thought this was really cool. I wasn't expecting a playable AC rep, and I kinda really hated the suggestions of him being a joke character (this was months before the reveal) because I feel Non-Lethal Joke Characters are a waste of roster space in Crossover games. But I'm glad to see that he appears to be a Lethal Joke Character intead, which is awesome. Also, his special where he grabs projectiles is hilariously awesome.
Also, that picture of the Villager and Nintendog that talks about characters being "not feasible" is now invalid. I was also probably right about what they meant by "not feasible"; it clearly didn't mean "too peaceful", last time I checked Animal Crossing hasn't gotten any less peaceful lately.
Mega Man I have never played Mega Man, but his part of the trailer made me ridiculously excited. The music, the moves. It was all awesome. I love how he takes all the moves from his games, hid moveset is creative and varied. Much more interesting than Sonic was in Brawl.
Wii Fit Trainer This is the greatest idea for a Smash Bros character ever!! Seriously, it's even more original than Mr Game & Watch, the Ice Climbers or Pokemon Trainer. I love it. When I went on the Smash Bros site the day after the Nintendo Direct, I could believe my eyes when I saw her on the character select. I couldn't believe it was real. Then I saw the trailer for her. Her move set is brilliantly hilarious and creative. Fighting with Yoga poses is brilliant, and her final smash is great too.
That said, I'm kinda annoyed that her Final Smash is called "Wii Fit". I have nothing against title drops, but I just felt in this case it was lazy and didn't suit the move. I would have picked something like "Fitness Routine" or "Hold That Pose!", or name it after whatever minigame in Wii Fit those poses are from.
Also, is it wrong that out of the three newcomers, I want to play as her the most?
...
So yeah, so far, I'm liking the newcomers. They are probably some of the more original newcomers in Smash.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMI just mean the pose in which he's running, the direction he's facing, and the framing of him in the shot. If you don't agree, fine, but no need to be a dick about it
.
Hey guys. I'm back!
I glad he showed us more of that stage; I found it to be one of the more interesting 3DS stages and there was barely any info about it. It looks fun!
I'm also hoping it's one of those fake-out pics and that we are still getting a reveal today like what happened with Sonic and Luigi.
EDIT: Also, I really hope the Pokemon rep is Blaziken. Gen III still hasn't been repped, he's the best canidate for Gen II. It also makes sense considering how he's tied to the event for X and Y, and we could use a newcomer after all these veteran reveals.

Okay, time to check the Smash Bros website. I can't wait to see what Pokemon announcement they've made! Hey, wait, this isn't a Pokemon, it's just a... hmm. I approve.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]
