I haven't seen it ever officially addressed as just "Super Smash Bros. For". It's really more of a simple abbreviation that fans clung onto.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyTo be fair, there's still plenty of time for Nintendo to change their mind and apply for a new trademark for a name (or, if you think they're being sneaky, to suddenly reveal that they're naming it something else and apply for the trademark then).
Alternately, they could just abandon the naming convention of naming the Multi-Mook Melee after the the title. Alternately from that alternative, they could just call it the Multi-Man Smash and name it after the whole franchise.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.![]()

I know what the official title is and demonfly basically said what I was going to say. And I wasn't saying people were using "For" to figure which version is which, I was saying they were using it to refer to the fourth installment (both versions) specifically.
All I was asking was if there's official use for the term; I don't have a problem with the usage in any way.
As I said, I know that.

If Miis are the Fighting ____ Team in this one, it should be Multi-Man Miilee.

I am okay with this.
I really liked the Primids, though. I would rather see them back, as they all had variants via items instead of just regular clones. Since they're all weak designs with few moves, they'd work best. Especially if they don't return in Adventure Mode. I haven't liked any generic enemy besides them since the Fighting Polygon Team. Wire Frames were nice, but there were only two. Alloys were very meh as is. But then I saw the Primids, and they felt more than unique enough.
Shadow? They could always bring the Primids back as Chest Monsters like how the Goombas and Redeads would randomly pop out of item boxes at times. Or make them a stage hazard on Smash-related stages.
Hm, what are the chances of there being a Subspace Emissary-related stage? It'd be neat if there was one (and I'd rather they not completely throwaway that universe after one game).

That already applies to a considerably large fraction of Smash's stages as it is.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyLast night, I added Melee's C-stick issue to the main Scrappy Mechanic page. I felt it was an addition that was long overdue, since players seem to be universally annoyed by it.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"From the page:
It's basically the fact that instant Smashes are removed in single-player modes and it just moves the camera, which is annoying and causes some Damn You, Muscle Memory! moments if you relied on it in matches. I never understood why they did that, to be honest.
