Notably, we haven't seen a new Bowser picture in forever.
Next Mario game release will reveal Bowser Jr.
Pokemon X/Y comes out this Friday, doesn't it? An obvious reveal then, just no idea who.
No idea if we'll even get a new DK character, though. If we don't, Tropical Freeze will probably be Diddy. And even if we get a new DK character, he might be shown off right away.

Shadow? He had an interview in a Nintendo Power as well. His only mention about Ridley is "Well, we were thinking about adding him in, but he might be a little slow. Is that alright? [laugh]"
Paraphrased, I think. He doesn't give straight answers and laughs a lot. Him being part-troll seems to make sense. I mean, when you got such a Broken Base that exists, I'm not surprised he tries to take things less seriously at this point.
Shadow?
Slow as in Mighty Glacier slow? Because I wouldn't really mind it so much if it meant we actually got him as a playable.
I see Ridley's main flaw being he's big. He's one hell of a Lightning Bruiser, middle-weight and easily recovers, but he's rather easy to hit.

pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSTo a point - with as much as Olimar was sized up, it shouldn't be unreasonable for Ridley to be sized down to something not that far removed from the overall size range of the other characters.
I'd make Ridley a bit bigger than Bowser.
While I don't think Ridley's size is an issue, there's obviously no denying that he's a very large character. On average, larger than Bowser.
It's difficult to judge size from the 2D games since sprites are not always proportionate due to working in set sizes. The 3D games, Prime and Other M, tend to give more reasonable scales of size, and in those Ridley is modestly sized. Prime, at least.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I think the most important point is this- Make sure his wings aren't part of his hitbox. Have them extend into the foreground and background or just No-Sell everything.

I sure said that!![]()
That's mainly by people who simply don't understand how Smash Bros.- or video games in general- work. It's safe to ignore them if they don't get the explanation the first time.
As much as I wish we'd get him, I've given up hope on having a playable Riddles. I'd be elated if I were proven wrong, though.

Oh, that.
I wonder why both Links keep fighting Donkey Kong...
FYI, I don't seriously believe that but I would laugh if that was the reason.
Shadow?
