I stand corrected then.
Still, it'd be easier to get both at once like with PT. Saw no need for any double/triple character(IC were a special exception since they lack transformations) to do it like that.
I do like that getting Giga Bowser's trophy is All-Star instead of some insane method. Like having to successfully become Giga during Classic to unlock the trophy.(okay, that's not beyond hard, but still a bad luck-based mission. At least Mew is easy to get)
Shadow?I think a Dragon Quest rep (Slime, maybe? I think he'd be GOOd) would be most appropriate since here in the West (at least the USA) the series is Nintendo-published (heck, one of Club Nintendo's rewards is a Dragon Quest screen saver).
But if it's a Final Fantasy character then anonymous Black Mage gets my vote.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaKostya: "Warrior of Light" is not a real character. It was created for Dissidia, which has never been on a Nintendo system, to represent the classes from FFI, since Dissidia has an actual story. It doesn't belong in Smash Bros.
Black Mage is probably the most likely of the FFI classes to appear, seeing as it's combat-focused, and has been playable in the Square-developed Mario sports games.
Considering their presence in Mario 3 on 3 Hoops and Mario Sports Mix, I'd expect a Square-Enix representative to be any of Team Final Fantasy characters (Ninja, Black Mage, Princess White Mage) or one of the mascot characters (Moogle, Cactuar, Slime), with moves that reference the sports titles, and maybe the Behemoth as a boss/stage hazard.
Otherwise, I can see the Warrior from the first game being a rep instead.

That depiction of a Warrior of Light also appered in the 3DS game Theaterhythm Final Fantasy.
Also, they technically just repurposed an older design
◊.
I'd argue that it's closer to having Pokemon Trainer to represent Red.
I'm not even saying it would be the same one from Dissidia(even if he did appear on a Nintendo system). I was using the term to describe any generic character based on the class(es) from FF 1.
Mr. Game & Watch isn't any more real of a character. Or Giga Bowser(who is entirely a Smash original). The class is just as playable as a regular-made character.
Warrior of Light is plausible for Sakurai to do. He did it before with PT anyway, who's just a class with a well-known model.
You'd only have a point if Warrior of Light never had a Nintendo appearance, except when it did. So, no, he could happen. I'd prefer Black Mage for generic Final Fantasy classes, though.

A: the Warrior in Dissidia is meant to be a Warrior of Light from FFI. Which is why Dissidia ends with him approaching Cornelia Castle with Crystal in hand. The implication being that the end of Dissidia is the start of FFI.
B: this specific design of the Warrior appeared in Theaterhythm Final Fantasy, on the 3DS.

I have a message from another time...
While that's technically a loophole with Theatrhythm, it... really isn't noteworthy enough to warrant Warrior of Light. 'sides, he isn't that iconic to the series on his own other than being a FFI composite.
Any of the FFI classes are reasonably iconic. Black Mage more so, I suppose, due to its visual design. The Dissidia Warrior is basically a costume change with more dialogue.
I'm rooting for a spellcasty character myself, but a Warrior could work. Put him in the traditional red armor, if you like. Dissidia had that too.

I have a message from another time...Well, that was his entire point from what I can tell.
I do think they can do something more than him, but eh.
Anyway, yeah, Final Fantasy has a nice set of Class choices.
Then we get to Dragon Quest and... uhhhhhh... their iconic thing is the Monsters a lot more than the classes. Slime is honestly my personal choice if anyone. Not only does it have a ton of various costume choices due to its Palette Swaps, but as a person who made a moveset before, it has a ton of ways to attack. Magic, tentacles...
...I'll let you finish that idea on your own.

Shadow?

@Zarek: Correct.
I'm not surprised he sees it as that in Brawl at least, as you needed to go through all of Classic Mode with all 39 of them separately to get each main Trophy.
It was odd that Zelda/Sheik needed go through All-Star twice while having the same Final Smash, but it wasn't like Pokemon Trainer where all of his Pokemon do the moves at the same time, so...
