I don't think Sephiroth even had his amiibo announced yet.
That would be a pretty nice callback.
I thought that would be the case because of the constant rumor/leak Erdrick.
For Toon Zelda, I was mainly going for Tetra and considered Toon Zelda and Tetra to be a package deal.
As to why the Champions are so low: I need to play more of BOTW to see them in action and admittedly I don’t live BOTW the way others do, but I know that the Champions would make people happy.
I actually favor Phantom Ganon over Pig Ganon being playable.
That's fair. I lost interest in Skull Kids after I realize he has the same problem as Marx does.
Anyways, any reason why you prefer Phantom over the Pig? And which one ver of Phantom do you want to use?
Would've been nice if that was an excuse to use an Echo Fighter. Either way, it's too bad there was never a Heroine alt.

That's the thing; The Brave leak never was specifically about Erdrick. The word refers to the class named Hero more specifically. It was other people(leakers) who speculated it refers to Erdrick, which is why people confused it with the idea it had to be him. It was never leaked it'd specifically be Edrick. Just Brave(which is Yuusha, or Hero basically).
The character name actually is pretty much a translation of Brave too. So we got the only exact name as close as you can get among the datamines.
That's why I wasn't surprised that Erdrick wasn't the default, since well, it was the Class, not a particular character. That said, if it was nothing but Erdrick, it'd still be a good choice instead, since he's the most popular Hero(albeit, only in Japan). I predicted it was the class quite a bit ago, especially with there being leaks that alts existed(as well as the Seven Squares leak listing Slime, Edrick, and Luminary). All the details gave me a different interpretation overall.
It also doesn't help we only had one other datamine'd name to go off, the one for Joker, which had more than one way to think of how it applied to the character, so we had no real pattern to figure out what Brave meant. Was it referring to Courage, a specific character Class, or something different altogether? Of course, later on, we found out it was basically the same as Piranha Plant, the actual "name" of the playable character. Something not repeated for the rest of the DLC characters.
Shadow? He will get one. We were hard told every character will get an amiibo.
Only alts are exceptions, and the default(advertised) is guaranteed one. Alex, in this case, was considered the main character along with Steve, which is why she gets one.
I think what would've helped with Hero is if they actually gave each of the Heroes names just like Bowser Jr. etc. did. But they don't have those names as a character(I don't think they even had them for the Spirits either?). Sakurai has personal nicknames, but it's still just Hero in Smash.
Shadow?I actually favor Phantom Ganon over Pig Ganon being playable.
But y tho? Phantom Ganon is just OoT Ganondorf on a horse wearing a horned skull helmet. That's just more OoT representation, which is already represented in Smash by Ganondorf and Young Link. Meanwhile, all the 2D games have for representation is Zelda, who replaced TP Zelda, who replaced OoT Zelda.
Pig Ganon isn't even IN Smash. At all! Not even as a Spirit! The only forms of Ganon in Smash as Spirits are transformations of Ganondorf and Calamity Ganon. I think the OG form of the main villain of Legend of Zelda deserves a slot, just as much as his humansona Ganondorf does.
Depends whether you like the Toon or original Phantom Ganon more.
Even then, I like him, but I also like Pig Ganon too. They both could be interesting in their own way. Even if Pig Ganon didn't become playable, the lack of any Spirits/Trophies/Stickers is really strange. I'd also like to see him have a nearly all black costume akin to the various Shadow/Dark Zelda-related characters. Since I don't think they do pure color ones like Dark Link for any character anymore? If not, his Nightmare version from LA is a good one. There's also one that could have blank eyes to represent the Oracle versions(mindless Ganon). Maybe something referencing Yuga Ganon's design too?
Shadow?I recall that only the amiibos for Steve, Alex, Sephiroth, the Aegis and Kazuya were shown when Sakurai mentioned that "[those] characters' amiibos are in production. See here
(timestamp embedded to show the relevant part).
It just means Sora isn't in production yet.
I don't remember where he said it, but that all playable characters will get an amiibo. It's part of the whole package deal. Basically;
- All Characters get an amiibo
- Characters from the Fighter's Pass get a stage, at least two songs(which makes it funny, since only Cloud even had this issue, from a previous game no less), and general spirits
- Spirit Boards were not advertised as a guarantee(or for that matter, advertised)
- Only Pass 1 noted that there would be no Echoes
- Pass 1 was also noted that Sakurai did not deny a character due to moveset issues
- Pass 1 also was treated as "none of them were my personal choices".
Which is why Piranha Plant is different from others. It's a stand-alone DLC and the only thing it got was an amiibo and obviously a general spirit.
Shadow?Disney Infinity had a lot of potential that was unfortunately wasted due to the market being oversaturated.
Get taxed. Idiot.I loved Infinity. It was unique among Disney crossovers in that it actually included Marvel and Star Wars characters instead of just shunting them off to their own brands. The Toy Box was awesome and the figures were also rather high-quality, I've actually been working lately to complete my collection out of nostalgia.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonThere actually was KH content in Infinity: a special D23 exclusive Power Disc of a King Mickey alternate costume and the ability to unlock the Keyblade as a weapon upon registering every figure in the game. There could've been more had the franchise not gone under.
Sora also briefly had a presence at Disney World when the first game came out, but the costume was... ehhh....

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI think the thing as to why KH gets excluded from stuff might be because Disney does need Square-Enix’s permission to use KH stuff in things like Disney Infinity or the Theme Parks.
Disney owns the majority copyright but they need Square-Enix’s involvement is basically what I am saying.
That costume is creepy. Maybe slightly less creepy than the early Mickey costumes but still creepy.

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!RE: Erdrick/Arusu They actually used him much more. Notice how he got a more standout appearance in the trailer a la "And Starring". And in Seph's trailer he was the one used.

I'm going to make a What If? moveset for Mii Magician
.
In making it, I'm going to think of which fighters in the game are similar to a Magician class, and what moves could portray their roles well.
- Bayonetta
- Hero (non-sword moves)
- Lucas
- Mewtwo
- Ness
- Palutena
- Robin
- Rosalina & Luma
- Shulk (Monado Arts)
- Zelda
Potentially, Steve and Olimar's "functions" could add to mage gameplay.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyYup, I was thinking of that as well. There's a lot of magic users who also fall into one of the other categories.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy

Corrin's explanation is that both amiibo were meant to be used in different games. That's generally why many can have more than one amiibo(besides having two default costumes). I don't think it applied to Cloud or Bayonetta though, as they felt like very special cases.
Byleth not getting a second one is actually outright weird too. Especially since Steve and Alex have them. I feel like any with a gendered alt should automatically have one as is. Inkling I can understand not bothering since you can easily get that via the Splatoon ones(and there's literally two male ones to easily find). But then you have Robin, Wii Fit Trainer, etc. As for Koopalings, that's a lot of extra amiibo. They'd need to find a game to program them all into where it'd feel worth it beyond collecting, so I get why that was skipped out on. On the other hand, maybe the next Mario Kart could justify it?
Shadow?
