Thanks! I must ask, what do you disagree with on that list?

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Still a better choice than Skull Kid.
It clearly doesn't matter.
I said Cecil & Terra were better choices objectively speaking & when I say objectively speaking I mean I'm turning down my bias for Cloud.
I wouldn't know since the only Metal Gear game I ever touched was Rising. It was a fan-made rule that 3rd party characters had to be from a Nintendo console got dispelled more or less for good by the time Joker got announced. And that was for the best as far I'm concerned. If Smash's roster was confined by the fans' rule the roster wouldn't be nearly as impressive as it is today.
It's disappointing but such is life.
I personally think there's a lot you can do with magic, but my imagination can be pretty limited in this regard.
Well, Ghrirahim is still one of my most wanted characters & I don't agree that there should a 3rd Zelda. And I wouldn't have Skull Kid so high & any of the champions so low.
But it's your list, not mine. With the exception of Phantom Ganon I just like your choices.
Would have been nice if they updated Cloud's series symbol to meteor.
Oh wow, I didn't even think about putting his Dissidia gimmick. That would've been really fun to play as. And as much I would like the Cloud's series symbol to be the meteor, that's still semantic.
I'm still surprised they didn't use Erdrick as the default. Granted, it was for advertising XI with Luminary, but ironic that a franchise with such an established history and icon status went with the Hero that had the least amount of exposure time, like if they just added Fire Emblem to Smash for the first time and used Byleth as the first rep for the multi-decade series.

Skull Kid has actually been one of my most wanteds for a long time.
For Toon Zelda, I was mainly going for Tetra and considered Toon Zelda and Tetra to be a package deal.
As to why the Champions are so low: I need to play more of BOTW to see them in action and admittedly I don’t live BOTW the way others do, but I know that the Champions would make people happy.
I actually favor Phantom Ganon over Pig Ganon being playable.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Without that context, using the word objective to describe how someone is a better pick for Smash is no different than just saying they "deserve" it more.
That's why I said that, but okay...I get what you mean.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Who needs an excuse to criticize...?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I'm not surprised at all Erdrick wasn't the default. He's not nearly as known across the seas. The latest Hero, who had lots of advertising, is an easier sell. Eight is even easier to know of across the seas too. The first Hero(Dragon Warrior 1) is also much easier to recognize worldwide.
Erdrick's great, but his lack of recognizability worldwide made him a lackluster choice at that point for the default. I would've only called foul if he wasn't an alt(assuming Hero had alts in that case, of course). Eight I also saw coming as an easy alt. Solo was the only one I didn't guess. I already pretty much called Luminary as the clear default alt too(for reasons I stated above).
The only other one that would've been a great default is the first Hero(Dragon Warrior 1), since he and Luminary are highly recognizable worldwide(Eight a bit too, but not to the same degree). Thankfully Solo does have an alt that resembles the first Hero.
Shadow? Why do people care about the "Default" skin for characters? Sure, I guess it's the first thing you see, but hardly anyone I see uses the default skin for any character, people always gravitate to one of the alternates. It barely matters at all which skin the devs pick for the default.

They actually rarely do. Steve and Alex got that treatment. R.O.B. had separate defaults in 4, so it wasn't an alt so much as only the default still got it. Cloud, Bayonetta, and Corrin are other exceptions. They stopped doing them quite a bit outside of, again, Steve and Alex(and they are actually toted as the full characters, instead of just Steve). Hero is treated as one character with cool alts, which explains the lack of more amiibo.
Wario's alt is because of the Super Mario version, not because they wanted to make an alt amiibo.
It's unfortunate, and Hero would've made sense to have more than any general set of alts, due to legit being different people put into one slot. It was likely a case of "can only spend so much money" at that point. amiibo aren't exactly cheap to produce overall. Licensing, materials, the fact it's got an electronic chip, etc. And being 3rd party is part of why it's harder, especially when there's multiple shareholders of the franchise. Besides that, look at how long it took for Bayonetta and Cloud's amiibo in general to come out. That says something.
Shadow?Nope. Like I said, it's actually very rare if they aren't treated as a true separate character(like Steve and Alex are). It's usually the default(which is the only reason R.O.B. got two. There's actually two official defaults).
Inkling's Splatoon amiibo have many alts, but the Smash one just has the basic female Inkling and that's it.
Corrin, Bayonetta, and Cloud are the only legit exceptions to this at any point. That's a really small number.
Hero is just treated as "one" character for some reason. Thus, there's only one true default. I'm still surprised Erdrick didn't at least get one, mainly for Japan. But like I said, probably was a money issue.
There's a lot that would be nice. Meta Ridley, Construction Mario, Wario, the other 3 Heroes, the male Inkling(at least), Joker's school alt, Alph, and so on.

Shadow? The one thing I'm disappointed about with the Dragon Quest Hero is that we never got any female alts, despite the third and forth game giving us the option to play as a woman.
Even if they felt like they had to go with the male version of Erdrik, they could still have used Sofie from DQ 4.

Meanwhile Suda51 is seething.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
