I keep saying it, but Crash Bandicoot does seem the most likely to me. Maybe someone else, but I've got a good feeling about Crash.
My Disney 100th Anniversary Marathon> Digimon not showing up at all is a bit odd, I must say. There's no reason why it shouldn't.
apart from being Nintendo's competitor to their Pokémon franchise
this music plays whenever I post also a box"Competitor" is extremely generous.
Trans rights are human rights.Well, yeah. And Sonic was also Mario's "competitor", and yet.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Digimon hasn't been Pokemon's competitor in a long while. It just does its own thing now
The only times they "competed" was in anime but even then only because of scheduling. Digimon is more akin to SMT/Persona than anything
Certified Evil Genius and CommanderI'm expecting a Pokemon character. It's best to expect the worst outcome so that you'd never be disappointed.
It's been 3000 years…So y'know that 1st pass/2nd pass "pattern" y'all were going on about a few pages ago?
If it's true, we're missing the Sega character. Not really familiar with Sega's catalog outside of Sonic, but what's the name of the Puyo Puyo girl? Aryle?
She'd be neat.
I still want Bandana Dee, but at this point I'm curious who the character is, period.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I don’t understand Bandana Dee hype. Not even because “he’s just a goomba with a hat”, but because his moveset would probably be not great. He has a spear.
That’s it.
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”We've had the Bandana Waddle Deebate ad nauseam, but my take on it is: it's the Player 4 of the Kirby franchise. If any other Kirby character gets a playable appearance, it should probably be Bandana Waddle Dee for that reason.
It's been 3000 years…People like the character. That’s all there is really.
His moveset is pretty much done, just going by his appearances in Kirby games. Plus, you could theoretically fold Parasol and Beam moves into his moveset if Spear isn't enough.
Bandana Dee is sort of a tacked on late addition to the Kirby series, anyway. Seemingly in order to create a fourth main character. Waddle Dees have been around since the start and are Mascot Mooks, but Bandana Dee doesn't really have any history. He just popped up one day.
Not that I would cry if he got added or anything, but there's better choices.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."It's still rather astonishing that we don't have any polearm users in the game aside from 1/4th of Byleth. A spear user would be nice in that regard, even if a lot of BWD's support is mostly just people wanting the complete set of RTDL characters.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Outside of some of Byleth's moves, we don't have a dedicated spear character, so he fills a niche.
And if you wanted to make him more interesting to play as, give him his umbrella from Battle Royal or the elemental abilities from Star Allies.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Bandana Dee is a great character.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Too bad his popularity comes from the non-sakurai games.
And we all know those games don't exist /s
Uni catThe thing with Bandana Dee is that they had so many to pick from if they wanted to make a Waddle Dee main character, and they arguably picked the blandest one.
Much rather they have used the really cute Waddle Dee friend from Kirby 64, or Meta Knight's Lovable Coward sidekick Sailor Dee. Instead those guys just sorta disappeared.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."I think they retroactively retconned that Dee to be Bandana but im not sure. In any case, a Waddle Dee would be a really fun bonus fighter.
Hell, supposedly folk datamined an extra slot in the code of official site that isn't tied to the battle pass. It seems we could something else before everything wraps up.
Uni catCome to think of it I'd probably be more open to a Waddle Dee fighter if the alternate costumes came in normal (hatless), bandana, and sailor varieties.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."A Sailor Dee alternate costume would be lovely.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Bandana Dee was made a separate character from other Waddle Dees since Return to Dreamland and by now is more of a main character than King Dedede and Meta Knight in the series usually playing the "Luigi" to Kirby's Mario and often even assisting when he's not in the plot.
The "Goomba with hat" is a stupid term that has not died down purely to oppose a possible inclusion and using it unironically proves that whoever says it hasn't played any Kirby games lately.
Sorry for the rant, but that meaningless term is getting on my nerves as much as other meaningless terms.

Certified Evil Genius and CommanderI wouldn't go so far as to say he's more important than Dedede or Meta Knight. He's the Player Four character and it shows in the hierarchy.
"Goomba with a hat" is a troll argument though, yes.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Thing is he's just kind of boring. I have played a few late-era Kirby games. Bandana Dee sort of features only as Player 2. He'd be Luigi if Luigi hadn't evolved beyond his characterizarion in Super Mario Bros (that is, none).
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."I think a lot of people who support BWD really just want his fun moveset more than anything. Spears are fun, so why not add the spear-user who also happens to have a charming design and has been playable several times in his home franchise?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

I still would prefer Tamagotchi (!!!!), but Digimon would fit perfectly in Smash.
