Here’s something that’s gonna engulf the thread in flames.
I want Scorpion in smash.

I'd be welcome to it if we didn't already have two fighting game characters as DLC. Before you say stuff about there already being three RPG's in Persona, Dragon Quest, and Fire Emblem, they're very different from each other. Persona's a mon game, Dragon Quest is a traditional RPG, and Fire Emblem's a tactical RPG.
The legend has returned.
x3 Personally would prefer Sub-Zero; Smash Bros. has plenty of Fire Users and lacks Ice Users. Also Sub-Zero's Finisher (specifically, the freeze opponent and break them with a punch) could be implemented better then Scorpions (burn them to a Skeleton) in Smash (I imagine that, similar to Zelda's, if they're over 100% Damage they insta-die).

Yeah Joker and Hero are both from turn based RP Gs and they're wildly different in gameplay and aesthetic.
I did this because scorpion has everything a smash speculator thinks can’t get in (except scorpion is on a Nintendo system), while having qualities one could look for in a smash fighter (impact on the game industry most notably).
I doubt ragna will get in before sol, especially since centralfiction ended the series.

I personally don't care if we get another fighting game dlc character after the AR Ms rep.
I'd rather see someone like Ragna though over Scorpion, though that's because I personally don't care about Mortal Kombat.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Someone had the idea that the second pass of DLC would consist of characters who didn’t make the cut in the base game but are now being given a second chance.
I would actually like that idea, and the fighters proposed for such an idea are actually ones I would love to see, though I would swap out Waluigi for Rayman and maybe have Shovel Knight or Geno be the final character of the pass. Plus Rex and Pyra are a nice touch.
I’m hoping the Arms rep is either Min-Min or Spring Man, since they could destroy the rule of no spirits and if it’s Spring Man then it could also mean that Assist Trophies can’t be upgraded to playable status.

Nice idea, but the only characters we know were considered but couldn't be added because of the games finalization were an ARMs rep and Rex from Xenoblade 2.
You know what would be an even more interesting idea? Adding Characters that were once considered from previous Smash games to add to Ultimate; I'm talking Dixie Kong, Toon Zelda and Tetra, the mysterious Pra and Mei (most likely Plusle and Minun), Ayumi Tachibana. Characters that almost made it in but for one reason or another just barely missed the train. Then Ultimate would live up to the Everyone is Here line.
Honestly if there were going to be anyone not from a game, I think either James Bond, Popeye, Snoopy, Mickey Mouse, Scrooge McDuck, or Sam & Max would fit in the most.
- James Bond for actually being considered for a Smash game
- Popeye and Snoopy for having a game developed by Nintendo (The Popeye arcade game and the Snoopy Tennis game in the Game&Watch line)
- Scrooge McDuck and Mickey for starring in one of the best received licensed games (Ducktales NES, Mickey Mouse in Castle of Illusion, Kingdom Hearts) along with there being a Mickey Mouse Game&Watch along with there being licensed Hanafuda cards with Disney characters.
- Sam and Max for having their games be more well known than the source material.
I feel that either of them would really fit Smash Bros, especially Popeye, Scrooge, and James Bond.

Check out Rogues Gallery Transplant: The GameAs much as I hate it, I'm pretty sure Goku is on the shortlist for non-video game characters.
Thankfully, Sakurai is better than that.
This song needs more love.

This is now a sonic thread.
