Digimon/Tamagotchi is pretty likely IMO. They would simultaneously rep the Bandai half of Bandai-Namco, and also the entire video game genre of virtual pets, seeing how iconic they are.
And yes, virtual pets are video games. They are games and also virtual.

And everything's unlikely until it happens. But yeah, I'm not gonna expect anything, not even my wishlist.
Make it Aegislash; I honestly want to see how Sakurai would handle its switching between forms in battle.
The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
Anybody hoping for a visual novel character for Smahs. I’m really hoping for Monokuma of all things

The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
I love Phoenix Wright but I want more leeway for Monokuma as it’ll be refreshing to have a Third party villain in Smash. Plus, Spike Chunsoft created the first few Dragon Quest and Mystery Dungeon games, they deserve it.
Also, release all the Danganronpa games on the Switch please

He has to get over Dante. And thats only considering companies get only one slot this pass

The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
Again, I like Phoenix but I think there are too many Capcom reps at this point. At this rate we might as well get Nintendo VS Capcom.
Can... we ask for that?

Saber > Phoenix Wright > Ayumi Tachibana >>>>> Monokuma.

Uni catGonna have to agree with last page/top of this page that Agumon would be amazing. He's pretty much my number 1 "most unexpected character" pick to become playable. Also, I even wrote up the start of a moveset for him a while ago:
Unlike Pokemon Trainer, where Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard are all functionally distinct and unique characters, all of Agumon's forms have basically the same moves and animations, so each form plays similarly, just with differing stats and mechanics.
Agumon is a small lightweight at 1.2 meters tall with a weight of 85. He is agile and great at combos and racking up damage early on.
Greymon is a giant heavyweight at 2 meters tall with a weight of 115. He's less agile than Agumon but he hits harder.
MetalGreymon stays the same height and is a superheavyweight with a weight of 130. He is even slower, but he hits harder, has a quadruple jump because of his wings, and has a tether grab that he can use to grab onto ledges.
WarGreymon is a slightly smaller middleweight at 1.8 meters tall with a weight of 105. He's much faster and more agile, has a triple jump, and has tremendous power and damage. It's difficult to get to WarGreymon, but he's extremely powerful and well worth the effort if you manage it.
Tai stands in the background and says stuff.
Agumon's jab combo is two claw swipes, followed by a bite. WarGreymon's third hit is a headbutt.
Neutral B: a fire-based projectile shot forward. Agumon's is Pepper Breath, a small fireball. Greymon's is Nova Flame, a large fireball. Metal Greymon's is Giga Blaster, a powerful missile. WarGreymon's is Terra Force, a gigantic sun-like fireball.
Up B: a spinning fire tornado body drill, functioning kind of like Fox's Up Special.
Side B: Placeholder (can't really think of anything)
Down B: Digivolution Charge/Digivolution/Warp Digivolution. Tai yells some words of encouragement to Agumon, who poses while Tai's Digivice and Agumon's chest glow with the Crest of Courage. When the Digivolution meter is full, using Down B causes Agumon to Digivolve to Greymon, Greymon to MetalGreymon, and MetalGreymon to WarGreymon. Digivolution is permanent until he is KO'd, at which point he respawns as Agumon. Multiple Digivolutions can be built up at the same time, which allows Agumon to Warp Digivolve to MetalGreymon or WarGreymon, and Greymon to Warp Digivolve to WarGreymon. Warp Digivolution is triggered by holding Down B instead of tapping it. The Digivolution meter charges based on 100 points of Courage energy. It takes 150 damage dealt or 100 damage taken to fully charge. The meter also fully charges based on 300 damage dealt by a teammate or 200 damage taken by teammates. Digivolution Charge charges the meter by 20 points. The meter also charges over time, taking 2 and a half minutes to charge up fully.
Once he's Digivolved to WarGreymon, Down B changes. WarGreymon's Down B has him pull out his shield. It's indestructible and it reflects projectiles, but it only shields him from the front.
Tai talks during Agumon's taunts. Each taunt charges the Digivolution meter by 1 point.
Final Smash: Starts with Warp Digivolving to WarGreymon if he's not already WarGreymon. He then hits the opponent with a cutscene-triggering attack. MetalGarurumon jumps in, they do a team attack, then they fuse into Omnimon for one final attack. Afterwards, WarGreymon returns to the Digivolution level he was at before he used the Final Smash.
Ghost n Goblins rep >>>>>> Any other Capcom rep for me.
I've said it once and I'll say it again, People not considering Gn G to be the definite "Nintendo X Capcom" game is a straight up crime. It's Capcom's first game to go platinum! Acknowledge it's existence already!
A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail.

Aside from Ridge Racer, or even poteential Tekken or Soul Calibur could be characters (my Yoshimitsu moveset
), other series' Assist Trophies (Katamari Damacy), or items, but there's one franchise that Bandai Namco have had that means a lot from a video game, but especially toy and multimedia standpoint:
Digimon.
Yup, Digimon and Tamagotchi are Bandai creations.
I'm sure there's some Nintendo fanboy out there who never let go of the 90s, who is creaming themselves at the thought of beating up Sonic and Agumon with Mario and Pikachu.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
