Do you think that the last Fighters Pass character would be from an indie game? I thought that the indie content in this game leans towards their favor.

Odds are incredibly, incredibly low. If Shovel Knight and Sans aren't going to be Playable Characters in Smash (And no, the Sans Costume doesn't count... Even though it also does to an extent), I don't see any Indie getting in.

Well, it's certainly more likely than Bandana Dee at his point.

While I don't think we're getting an indie with this pack, the "If it isn't Shovel Knight or Undertale it's not happening" narrative really irks me due to how much of a pedestal it places those games on.

The only indie that still seems plausible to me is Shantae. And maybe Quote. Shovel Knight and Undertale already have representation in the assist trophy and Mii costume, and I'd be shocked if Microsoft got a second fighter. Even if they somehow did get one, Steve would have to compete with Master Chief for the spot.

If we are getting an indie character, what about a certain character that's already part of a crossover with one of Nintendo's biggest franchises?

I mean not many indie games get the same levels of global acclaim that those two did. They're not the only options but if they weren't good enough to get a character, which indie games are?

Well they have to accept the fact then. Even music isn't seen as a representation by these folks even though it is. In fact that's the whole point of spirits.

I mean yeah, but I don't think anyone who wanted to see Shantae or Geno (me), or Tsubasa Oribe or Rayman should necessarily be compelled into "accepting" their jpegs.
