I don't Woolly World prevented anyone from arranging music from New Island, given that Brawl had remixes from Yoshi's Island DS and Touch & Go, of all things. I think the thing that prevented 4's composers from adding anything from New Island is the simple fact that they all presumably have working ears.
I hope Woolly World gets more content in Ultimate since it's still the most recent Yoshi game and the best Nintendo game of 2015, but we haven't even seen the eponymous stage return yet.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Man, that's one hella sweet Snake Eater remix!
Also, I've heard many a horror story about New Island's soundtrack. How can it be as bad as everyone says?
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."There are no words for it. You just have to experience the nightmare yourself.

The sad part is, the OST isn't even the worst part of Yoshi's New Island. The art direction, physics, and level design manage to be worse.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yoshi's Island is the single best 2D platformer of all time and Yoshi's Island DS was actually alright, so I was willing to forgive a lot in exchange for more Yoshi.
That game was a failure on every conceivable level.
Hear hear.
We did actually get two New Island songs in Smash Bros. for Wii U, but they're at least two of the less-objectionable tracks.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Holy jaysus in the depths of heck... That's a curse on the concept of music and an insult to a series that started with some of the most memorable tracks of the SNES era.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Environmental Noises is a good song...
Just ignore the crabs.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie....That Yoshi song sounds like it was performed with squeaky toys made for toddlers.
It was made for toddlers...that's the aesthetic.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Just because it was made for toddlers didn't mean it had to be shit.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundGenerally the proper way to do the whole "sounds like it was made by kids" thing would be to compose it well so it at least sounds pleasant. That was not that.
This song needs more love.By kids was not said...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I meant it sounds like they used squeaky toys instead of instruments, and the result is incredibly annoying to listen to. "Toddlers" was a clarification about the toys, not the audience of the game.
You know what sucks? Yoshi's New Island has a really, really good world theme (they use it in their site and commercials too). Makes me wonder why they opted for that weird instrumentaiton.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.I will also note that Brawl had Calling To The Night from Metal Gear: Portable Ops as a song.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! You think they'll reference MGSV as well?
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.I'd LOVE to get Heaven's Divide or Sins of the Father.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Please Metal Gear Rising.
RULES OF NATUUUUUUUURE!!!!!!
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
Please, Sakurai?
I can relate to this very much

Nintendo looks like they are trying to replicate the lightning in the bottle feel of Yoshi's Island every time they return to it and just end up failing. They should stop. They can't recapture the essence of the original and instead should move on with something else with Yoshi.
-Witty line-Okay, not all Smash songs are fitting to fight to, fair enough. It would be amazing to hear that New Island song made into an epic rock remix though.
I'd argue that both DS and Wooly World were worthy successors to the original. I know some who say Wooly World is even better, and while I personally don't agree, it's still the closest they've ever come. Yoshi games are hardly a lost cause.

Speaking of which, I'm happy that Woolly World was the Yoshi game that got all the attention in the fourth game. I couldn't bear a remix of this.
