Never horsed around with EAW, but someone in the thread on Paradox Forums referred to the Anarchists as a Zombie Apocalypse.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.at least it's not an epic store exclusive
New theme music also a boxBecause they were given money by those companies, it's not an Epic Store Exclusive so I personally see nothing wrong with it.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnBut it might signal a shift towards early access/delayed exclusivity for EGS on the part of Paradox in the future. I figured they wouldn't pull this, given that they have their own platform/store.
First Borderlands, Mechwarrior, and now Paradox...fantastic.
I seriously hope I'm overreacting here.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. You're 100% overreacting, Bloodlines 2 is much bigger than the Surviving Series and it didn't feature any kind of deal with Epic. This doesn't need to mean any kind of Exclusive Deal, especially when Paradox's interests are benefited far more by selling on all platforms (Steam in particular) then being limited to Epic.
So no, it's probably nothing.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnWait, what's Mechwarrior doing on the EGS?
Also I assume this is some kind of post-apocalyptic variant on "Surviving Mars".
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Answered in PM.
Yeah, you are probably right, I was just a bit nervous that a company I seriously cared about was going down such a wretched path.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Oh sure, I completely understand the worry. Thankfully it will most likely be proven incorrect.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnYeah, Paradox makes a lot of its own games, so sometimes we forget that they're also a publisher. Who knows how many studios took the EGS route of their own accord?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Epic's a competitor to Steam and they make their own games too, so they have a built-in fanbase. Paradox would be stupid not to tap into that at some point. For that same reason, they'd be equally stupid to go Exclusive, even temporarily. Hell, for the aforementioned Paradox store, they would be monumentally stupid to go Exclusive with anyone besides their own store. So I doubt they ever would.
It still...blows...that Early Access is being restricted to Epic and XBox.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.Except that the Mandate of Heaven is a real historical concept and wasn't invented by EU4.
Also can we please keep the Annoying Orange out of this thread if it's in no way related to Paradox games?

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.I love how you call him an it instead. Other than that comment I agree. Real world politics is a plot tumor and we need to excise that shit pronto.
I haven't been doing much Paradox lately, but eventually some friends and me are going multiplayer on Stellaris.
Oh well, sorry for the bother.
Optimism is a duty. That was a general "it", as in "matters concerning the Annoying Orange".

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. It was more about someone else referencing the Mandate of Heaven, though, which I basically only know from this game, and as far as I know is not practised by the West, nor by modern day Asian countries. It's just such a strange term to use this side of the Industrial Revolution.
Optimism is a duty.It is a strange term, but not out of character for this regime.
Well, he WAS talking about his "great and unmatched wisdom" as well... He really IS starting to sound like a god emperor, isn't he?
Optimism is a duty.Uh huh.
I don't play as humans in Stellaris, but if I did I'd make them a hive mind and name their leader the Orange Demon.
The last time I played Stellaris, I made Driven Assimilators with their starting cyborg race being Humans with the "Decadent" trait added on for good measure (sadly, "Repugnant" wasn't available, or I would've added that too)
I usually play for long term campaigns, either alone or with friends. I find it more fun to develop my territory than to take other peoples'.
Anyone thinks there's a possibility that the new Imperator supply system might be ported over other Paradox games?
Give me cute or give me...something?
Did anyone catch the amusing level of similarity between anarchist Spain and the Dread League in Equestria at War? Literally everyone hates both, they can turn their conquests into insane manpower pools, and their long-term game plan is to beat the whole world or die trying.
