Wow, Brad is doing another stream to promote the movie this Saturday and this time, he's going to stream until the funds are raised. At the moment, he needs almost 19,000 dollars, so... good luck.

Just a person. He/him.Well shit. I gotta say, props for the diligence.

As of now, Another Cinema Snob Movie has raised a total of $50,793 on their campaign. (Not counting superchat donations.)
Basically, while Brad was taking a small nap (he had put on a couple of public domain movies for the livestream before he did), some extremely generous fellow decided to plop nine fucking grand onto the campaign.
The Smurfs 2 Midnight Screening has been recovered.
Ehhh, I'm very mixed on that. On the one hand, it's great that's there more time to get the stretch goal. On the other hand, this just begs the question of why they didn't just go for the full 60 day length to begin with.
The campaign concludes with over USD 67,000 raised. However, IIRC, Brad said in the YT comments that with the funds raised during the livestreams, the total funds raised would be near or over USD 75,000, so perhaps we will see a name actor in the movie.
Just a person. He/him.Yup, it's confirmed: the campaign met its stretch goal.
Just a person. He/him.Well look at what got re-uploaded!
Context, please.
Where there's life, there's hope.Brad posted an announcement on his YT (as a notification for his subscribers, I don't know how to link it. Here's the Tumblr version.) about the main cast of Another Cinema Snob Movie, including Rob Walker and Tamara Chambers from Channel Awesome. Some people REALLY don't like the fact that Brad hasn't left the site, to the point that he had to move to a new house. (Brad has made it clear he's not going to leave.)

Just a person. He/him.Basically, during the #Change The Channel controversy, Brad made it pretty clear that he planned to stay on the CA and was not leaving anytime soon. The linked tweet above is just a mere taste of the shit he's personally had to go through ever since. Some particularly toxic people have gone so far as to bother Brad's grandparents because of his choice.
Quite frankly, the amount of backlash he got is 100% unacceptable. And this is coming from a guy who is still mostly a #Change The Channel supporter. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned he was staying on just to stick it to those people, nor would I blame him to be honest.
EDIT: lol 'd

And by "Some people REALLY don't like the fact that Brad hasn't left the site." we mean "This dude is threatening to spray him with acid"
It seems that Brad's staying partially out of spite, his friendship with the Walkers, a not-so-great response from "a former CA producer" to the harassment, and some of his objections to CTC.

Just a person. He/him.Yeah, I admit I was exaggerating a touch by saying Spite was the only reason for staying on. However, I do legitimately think it played a part in having him stay on.
EDIT: Also, I'm not the biggest fan on "Cringe", could you possibly tell me who this "Former CA Producer" was so I don't have to click the link? XD

Well, Brad only referred to that person as "a former CA producer." I do have my guess but I'd rather not share it publicly because I don't want to spread rumors. If you're interested, shoot me a DM.
Just a person. He/him.So, in an effort to bring some levity into the thread, that cast huh?
It certainly puts the kibosh on my theory that A.C.S.M was primarily pushed forward ahead of Baby It's Cold Outside (Which was to feature Tamara's Waitress character from Jesus Bro as the lead) because of #Change The Channel.
My personal quibbles aside (which have honestly died down a lot these days), I'm glad that Tamara's being given a chance at a lead role because she's a pretty damn good actress. I hope that this'll be a similar situation to Lewis in Disco, where we'll be able to see Tamara play against her type.
Also, holy shit, Korey Goodwin's in the house! I'd never thought I'd see the day where Team Snob gets a big helping of that Toasty Goodness!
It's interesting to see Rob in the main cast because in CA productions, he usually plays side characters or cameos (by his own preference, apparently).
Just a person. He/him.Brad has deactivated his Twitter account. Again, he posted an announcement about it on YT, so I can't link it but I'll copy the message here:
BUT, if you followed me on Twitter, you can still follow me elsewhere. Follow us on facebook at facebook.com/thecinemasnob or you can follow our instagram page at thecinemasnob, plus there's our patreon page at patreon.com/thecinemasnob.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Man, what is it about Twitter that is so conductive to harassment? Is it the immediacy of the users?

Just a person. He/him.> Man, what is it about Twitter that is so conductive to harassment? Is it the immediacy of the users?
It's the ability to send messages and it effects all social media, plus there's no restrictions on who can post so anything is posted until they get blocked
New theme music also a boxYeah, even with Facebook, you can set up your account in a way that allows you to receive messages only from people you know.
Just a person. He/him.Welp, my levity attempt failed...Son of a bitch. How toxic do you have to be if you can make Brad Jones go Screw This, I'm Outta Here ?! IIRC, he's never up and leaved a platform before due to toxicity.

Another Cinema Snob Movie update! On June 28th, Brad released a more informative video discussing the campaign and Stoned Gremlins Productions' plans for the movie.
Honestly, this should have been the video Brad posted first instead of the ending clip from the Wasp Woman review. It gives us a much more clear idea of what the film will be about and answers quite a few questions I had in mind (ie. Why do a sequel now?, Will Team Snob be involved in the casting?, etc).
I will say though, upon further inspection, it's interesting that the film will focus on internet personalities going through hard spots in their careers (particularly the gamer going through a controversy), considering #Change The Channel. I'm both intrigued and a little concerned at how Brad will handle this aspect of the story.
Also, turns out the character they want a name actor to play is indeed Craig's father. A lot of people have been speculating on who Brad wants, which is always fun. Personally, I bet they want Eric Roberts for the role.
In other news, the campaign has, as of July 3rd, raised $9,822 out of $50,00. Or, 20% for those prefer to track their progress that way. I must say, I find this to be encouraging. I'm still not sure they're going to get up to $75,000, but the possibility of them reaching their initial is more likely now.
For all of my concerns, this honestly is something I want to see happen and when Brad talks about the possibility of making this a series of movies featuring the wacky adventures of Craig Golightly, I get excited.
