Respect the Red Right Hand
No, because they're archived. :3
Seriously though, I (would) do, for one.

The trope you are looking for is Deadly Euphemism.
I actually don't read many liveblogs to begin with, I'm just not interested in them as a medium, but I can see why their readers would not want to make a distinction between old and new ones.
Thank you, September.
@Ronnie, I've sent Eddie a PM about this. Though I hope I didn't come across as too pushy.
If I had to point to a thread who nobody would miss, I'd probably pick the signature/avatar game threads from Forum Games. People change their avatars so often that posts from even a few pages back don't make sense.

I think we should keep the old Repair Shop pages, at the very least the unlocked ones. I've talked about this before, but there was a lot of work that was done in them.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Since we are talking about the Archiving and Role Playing was mentioned...
The To Aru Museigen No Crossover RP is still alive but the Signup thread where all the information on the characters, like as backstory, description and such, was one of the threads that was archived.
This is the only one RP in this situation that I know off but I'm guess there might be more like it.
Could something be done to recover it?
I would also like to request that season one of The Massive Multi Fandom RPG be returned and locked, so that anyone can enjoy binging through it (either potential new players and/or people who'd like to read through it).
If we could have access to the old LB's—especially considering that some of them are referenced on the Wiki itself—that would be good. As Eternal September said, given the nature of L Bs, I feel like they should have special consideration when archives happen. Rarely are they BF Ts (Big Fat Threads), with a few exceptions—see the FATAL thread—and there is material in them that is still enjoyable.
Also, I still wanted to get some milage out of my Lolstalgia thread.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI hate to pester, but are the old Liveblog threads returning anytime soon? Back on the 26th, Fast Eddie said he'd try to get them up the next day, and the next day come and gone a few times now. Has other stuff come up that's taking precedent, and Eddie just hasn't had time? If so, is there any estimated time for when they will be back, either in locked-archived or normal thread mode?
Also, um... no offense, but it would be nice to receive some sort of forewarning next time a mass deletion occurs. Or even a notification afterwards. Because, um, deleting lots of stuff without telling anyone and letting the forum users discover it only when a thread they're reading gets yanked from under them and tossed out of the window is kind of impolite.
^^ Presumably the big "huge pages" cleanup
has taken precedence for now.
@Cido: That's a good question. Threads are just a collection of posts, so you shouldn't need a table of threads (or a table for each thread). Rather, you would just store posts as: post id, thread id, post timestamp, thread position, post owner, post title, post message, privileges. For editing posts, you'd have a separate table for edit histories (post id, edit timestamp, user id, edit reason).
Unless there's a reason for all the tables I don't know about?
EDIT: Okay, I lied. You would need a table for threads, but all it would contain is: thread id, forum id.

I have the feeling that the old LB sets should be archived as-is if possible. Conversion from forum style to post-and-comment style would be nightmarishly complicated and not really worth doing, but simple archiving isn't impossible.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.
