Don't we already have this thread?

Nice logo, though.

It's good, but a bit too big. The boxes at the top look awkward now. >.>

^ That was due more to the other layout changes, methinks.

Anyway, the logo just cracks me up. Good job.

...Who are you saying "Good job" to? I didn't design it.

I hope the costume serves you well, Mister Turkey, and you don't get eaten!

Out of curiosity—are these for American holidays and shared holidays, or are there ones for international holidays, too?

Good job to the mysterious logo designer, wherever they may be. smile

There are going to be ones for as many holidays as people design.

...to the person who designed it? And indeed, awesome job to whoever did so.

I don't have a problem with there being one for every holiday ever, but then we'd never see the regular logo again, unless we announce a "REGULAR LOGO HOLIDAY!" :P

No objection to int'l holidays. We missed a chance to do Guy Fawkes day this year, but that won't happen again. Put up your ideas for any holiday you'd like to.

That's what I figured. Cool. Now I just need artistic talent.

It's rather amusing. I think a turkey wearing a lampshade is the sort of Noodle Implement someone would find at the start of a What Did I Do Last Night? plot.

Christmas (a wreath replacing the "o" in "tropes", or a tree replacing the "t" in "tropes") and New Years' Eve/Day (have a firework burst replace the "o" in "tropes").

Workable?

Considering the new button layout happened about the same time as the turkey appearing...

wild mass guess He did it, and doesn't want tropers to find out.

Q: Could the Boxing Day logo be a a box on top of the T instead of a lampshade? (I'm not much of an artist, but hey, suggestion!)

Also is there a general "Holiday Logo" discussion that i completely missed or not?

Is there something wrong with it on the main page? The one here looks nice and crisply aliases, but the one on the site itself looks bad. Or is it just me?

I got a chuckle out of it. I think this is the first holiday logo I've seen.

I love it! I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more as time goes by.

Don't forget about the celebrations that involve not the logo, but a change to the main page. We've done April Fools at some point, I think, and Talk Like a Pirate Day. Should look for more opportunities for the spirit of the holiday to encourage our creativity.

New Years Eve should have the midnight clock from Watchmen replace the O.
