You might want to increase luck. It determines Dodging.

I'll get to better that in the future. In the beginning I doubt we'll face too many enemies capable of critical hitting.

Still I guess one more point won't hurt...

I thought it determined hit rate in general.

Speed is actually more important for avoiding normal attacks. Luck helps but the formula is:

Avoid = (Attack Speed x 2) + Luck + Biorhythm bonus + Support bonus + Terrain bonus [lowest value is 0]

Where Attack Speed is: Attack Speed= Speed - (Weapon Weight - Strength, take as 0 if negative)

Well then, I have Min Maxing to do!

Okay, switched Speed and Luck, considering knocking luck down to E and bumping Magic to A.

Sprites? Well, the Manakette might be a little bit too monstrous to depict a Raven...So will the appropriate sprites from this page do?

I'd pick one of Matthew's dodging sprites. Hopefully it will fit in the grid.

It's a plot! ...Quite a well written one too.

I'm pretty sure that luck has a small effect on dodges and critical hits from both ends (i.e. it makes you more likely to score them and less likely to sustain them). I suppose that the proposed map will work, I guess I'll have to be more descriptive in the future.

Sorry Random, I feel pretty bad about it. I felt like throwing up a demo then it kind of got taken as canon. -.-'

It's fine, really. The only reason I didn't give them a fortified base was because I wanted them to be nomadic, because I thought that would explain why this attack in particular was so threatening to the village, which probably would have already been destroyed if the bandits could launch invasions like that on a regular basis. I suppose their lack of numbers could explain that equally well, though. Honestly, I kind of just wanted to get the whole bandits thing over with so I could give you all an actual plot to follow. I suppose that I'll have more time to think this way, though I have a pretty good idea of what I'd like to do.

Yessssssss... Things are shaping up and we're tearing into the bandits. I'm assuming we'll have three pages worth of C Mo A before we have a troperworks page up.

^I'm curious, though: since I don't plan on him making his debut until the next fight post-banditry, should I bump him up a level or something?

It probably couldn't hurt, since everybody will likely be level two or three by that time.

I have no idea if I'm allowed to attack again because the rest of them are being slow. I think a turn a day rule would probably be wise.

I am so beyond confused on turns right now, that i don't even care about it anymore. Do we even USE turns, in the end?

^ Yeah, we don't really seem to adhere to the turn rules very strictly. Honestly, it doesn't really seem possible, since it's clear most of us live in different time zones, and I doubt anyone wants to only be able to post once a day.

Like I said, I don't want the roll-playing bandit missions to take too long. Don't get me wrong, filler can be fun, it presents some of the best opportunities for character development, but I figured you guys would want to do something more sustaining then fight inconsequential bandits.

By the way if our characters have Skills then Selene's one is Wrath.
