I have been to many, many internet forums in the past 6 years.
And I have seen some insane things go down.
The horror.
The HORROR.
My current title, "lonelycracker suffering withdrawal", is a reference to my previous one, "resident lonelycrack addict" (being, to my knowledge, the only forum regular who was an lg15 fan). I changed it because lonelygirl15 ended, so I can't get my fix, which explains why I'm such a generally cranky person.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffCopied from the "Story Behind Your Name" thread(Had I known you were gonna make this I would've waited.):
I almost forgot about those, my title is a reference to a web comic called Ansem Retort (it uses KH: Co M sprites) where a character was so filled with chaos and corruption that he achieved Reverse-Nirvana (which is the same as Nirvana except it's attained in the opposite fashion).
If i ever do change my custom title, it'll probably just be an obscure reference to a comic or video game.

Damn, I thought I was the one who came up with the idea of doing that. Oh well, it's still not in anything published, no original ideas and all that.
Anyway, the origin of my custom title should be pretty obvious to anyone who's ever heard Sympathy for the Devil. Which also explains why I picked an image from a Lucifer cover for an avatar. Also Lucifer looks Bad Ass on that cover.
EDIT: Just clicked on my own link, and realized that's the same cover we've got on the Lucifer page here. I could have saved like 45 seconds on GIS if I'd known that.
the dice are loaded, the deck is stacked, the game itself will hold you backMy reason isn't all to complicated: I just like oxymorons; the more contradictory the better ^^
Generally, I have mine either refer to a geeky trope that describes me, or a description for my avatar.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Wellllllp, avatar's Deadpool. Those familiar with the Merc with a Mouth know that in his letters column, he loves when people send him numbered questions!
"They wanted to play 'memes' with the Old School. Now there are tears." - Fast EddieAt first I tried to use a different character for my avatar: The mad scientist from the Girl Genius Weasel Queen interlude arc with the T-Shirt declaring "Fools! I will Destroy you all! Ask me how!" because I thought she was hilarious. However, the shirt wouldn't fit in the avatar, so I made it my title instead, only the whole message didn't fit either, so I had to cut it down. Eventually I got fed up and switched my avatar to Othar, but I left the title because it's funny anyways; besides, he IS a homicidal mad-scientist himself, just not random-homicidal.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)My title is just a cultural shibboleth for people who've played both TF 2 and Portal.
My latest liveblog.Mine just describes my avatar. Sometimes I use "KD 7 ZHP" as a custom title, though. When I change my avatar, I'll probably make up a new title.
I try to fit the titles with the pictures, but with this picture nothing comes to mind that's either satisfying or witty. I'm not even quite certain what the picture is (I got it off 4chan's /x/). I considered "a skeletonized crow in a top hat" and "some weird bird thing" though. Eudaimonia is Greek for "human flourishing" or "happiness", which I usually think of as contentment or satisfied contentment. It's used as a philosophical concept by Socrates to mean the ultimate good that every human strives for. In other words, my title is symbolic in some way.
I wrote about a fish turning into the moon.As I stated in the post that prompted the creation of this thread:
I change my custom titles often, but they pretty much always fit one of the following themes:
- Commentary on whatever my current avatar is,
- Lyrics or song titles I like, the more obscure the better,
- Entry Pimping my latest wiki article.
I don't think I've ever intentionally used the custom title to accurately describe myself.
I didn't write any of that.So one day I was at an anime convention for the first time in many years, and people were wearing signs on their clothes with phrases like "free hugs". Being who I am, the next day I came with one sign in the front and one sign on the back of me, one of which was decorated with a cute little drawing of my avatar Fawriel in chibi form "demanding hugs".
Because it was a great day and I liked the drawing, I tried to think of a way to cleverly insert it into my signature, and thus, by some anti-grav-assisted leap of logic, I ended up placing it into a famous painting of a pipe declaring that "this is not a pipe", the name of which I can't recall at the moment. The rest is history.
Mine's Mad Scientist because I'm insane and I want to be a scientist.
Ukrainian Red CrossIt's a mixture of terms for different social classes based on Marxist theory. It would be something like "Middleclass without virtue".
the statement above is falseMy title's pretty Self Explanatory. It's a fusion of two tropes; Covert Pervert and Chivalrous Pervert.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Mine always have something to do with rocks, or people/concepts related to rocks. It's not that I'm obsessed with rocks or anything; more like I'm obsessed with myself and being simple.
Accept no substitutes.I wrote A Darker Me back in the day, and I'm pretty proud of it, my avatar is the symbol of a group of uber-nihilists from Planescape, and I act like an asshole on the internet.
I'm a Mormon, I'm not your average Mormon, and I'm a Troper. If I change it, I'll explain it here.
In short: TV Tropes Is Not Your Porn StashMine's pretty simple. I was born a male but so much on the slight slide that I could be mistaken for a girl. Being a fan of Jun, Bridget, Mizuho, etc., it was a logical choice. Although if I changed it, I'd probably pick "Make Your Move Victor", because I won Fawriel's Make Your Move competition on another forum. My entry made me pretty proud, being a full Brawl moveset for Viki from Suikoden, and it's one of those things I just don't forget.

Mine is a reference of the Cybrids from Starsiege. Their language when written or spoken looks a lot like this. This is referenced in my signature as well.
Mine, curiously enough, refers to my general persona as a wiki editor. I only add examples from media works that I think have a high sense of cultural refinement and a generally low number of wiki attention. I also regularly cut entries that I feel serve no constructive purpose on the site.
My trope descriptions also tend to be unnecessarily wordy. I mean, sure, I could just write "when a character sends out a message in a bottle", but it's just so much more stimulating to offer a brief hypothesis as to why the trope is used.
Also, most of the people in my dormitory at college assumed I was this because I didn't do drugs. Or text messages.
See you in the discussion pages.
This thread is now existent, after being suggested by Meta4.
Mine is currently "Vampire-Killing Troper" because my current avatar is of Simon Belmont from Castlevania. The legendary artifact holy whip that the Belmonts use is called the "Vampire Killer", and "Vampire Killer" is also the name of the most prominent (and very awesome) recurring theme song that originated from the first game.
