What I did hear though is that the whole thing is gonna be rather straightforward, with a definite ending and such.

Shay Guy: And that 10% turned out to include none other than Tiffany Grant! She was wearing a NERV T-shirt and Asuka earrings; I take it there's some truth to the reports of her being America's #1 Asuka fangirl.

Ms. Grant, it's not just about the gaudy displays of fandom. :P

Shay Guy, when has that ever stopped speculation?

I'm not going to Seattle anytime soon, so I guess I'll be waiting for the DVD. I don't mind.

I am bad at reading things sometimes! That's awesome, I'll try to go see it.

Do you think a lot of people will want to see it there? Now I'm thinking about reservations and such...

Good question. Hard to say, really. I know it'd be a lot more popular in this town than, say, back in Tallahassee.

I imagine there will be much discussion at this year's Kumoricon.

I must have missed something that Charlatan didn't. Something AWESOME. Showtimes had better be before 4:30. I would hate to be 21 and over'd for another great movie.

Plus it's rated PG-13 so I can watch it without comically standing on top of my friend while wearing a trenchcoat and sunglasses! Cool.

Well, if they recut it, they'd have to resubmit it to keep the rating.

(doublepost)

So my aforementioned friend hates dubs so much that he claimed that at the showing he will be listening to a Japanese audio rip. This is because he is dumb.

Your friend needs to get laid watch some good dubs.

It would be too easy for the audio rip to get out of sync with the film. If it's even a tiny bit off, it will only get worse. Then he'll have to adjust it, miss a few precious seconds, and it will really be off.

The Portland one is going to be subbed, though. Look closely.

Has all knowledge of Cowboy Bebop vanished from fandom?

Link for that subbedness thing? I just checked IMDb really fast, I am ignorant.

Nevermind, found it. He seems happy about this. "You should say 'thanks for telling me that, now I can't make fun of him!'. That's hilarious."

He admitted that he could stand the Cowboy Bebop dub. He's a total Japanophile, but he's not fat or ugly so I can't really call him a weeaboo.

I will punch him the next time I see him however, make no mistake.
