cd's were two for one at the thrift store, so I picked one album I used to own and missed, and one album that just looked interesting:
Deftones - White Pony
BS 2000 - Simply Mortified (a Beastie Boys side project that apparently involves lots of cheap vintage synthesizers)

Yesterday, I bought "Live", the aptly named second live album of Blind Guardian.
A short while ago (as in, this month), I also got:
Blind Guardian - At the Edge of Time
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter - Samurai
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter - Licht
Edguy - Hellfire Club
Avantasia - The Scarecrow

People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Daft Punk - Homework.
I totally had this years ago, but the CD disappeared somewhere, so I decided to replace it when I happened upon a $2 thrift store copy that didn't look too worn out.

*Looks at CD list* Oh hello there, mid-to-late-nineties, I missed you. Not meant as an insult - I legitimately think it's cool that if I miss an album I loved as a teenager, nine times out of ten I can find it somewhere in a used bin for under ten dollars. The Soul Coughing, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Soul Asylum albums are all kind of an integral part of my high school memories, and while I never had Astro Lounge or Stunt, they of course had songs that were unavoidable around the same time, so still sorta nostalgic.

Yes: Yesterdays. I have the old Japanese editions of the first two albums with no bonus tracks, so I need this one for “America” and “Dear Father.”

Let me explain! ...No, there is too much. Let me sum up!Julia Nunes - "Stay Awake"
Normally don't buy single songs off itunes, but she's an artist I like giving at least a little support to. Pretty amazed that she turned up on Conan yesterday.

A bit late, but I got the Cave Story OST. Specifically, the remixed version that Danny Baranowsky did for Cave Story 3D and Cave Story+.
- Sounds of the Street — Head Game (2010), Holiday From Yourself (2011)
I happened across these albums because I'm considering applying for a Creative Youth Initiatives music course called, well, Sounds of the Street, and to help me make up my mind they gave me these two compilations of music that their students have made in the past. I was going to say "don't bother searching for this stuff online", but there's actually some very good info on it if you go look...
