Actually permanently mine:
Superchunk - No Pocky For Kitty
The Cult - Pure Cult (it's a Greatest Hits Album)
Stereo MC's - Connected (I only know the title track, so the rest of this might suck. But hey, it was a buck)
Borrowed:
Rush - 2112
Pete Townshend - Lifehouse Elements (because "Lifehouse" is the biggest word on the cover, I initially passed it over because I thought it was an album by the band Lifehouse)

Fucked Up - 'David Comes To Life' Only new album I've bought this year.
Also downloaded two albums by a fantastic Japanese band called Molice. I'll have to hold off on actually buying them till I go back to Japan because I don't feel like shelling out $40 or so for each.

Woods of Ypres - Woods 5: Grey Skies & Electric Light. Just leaked by Earache in honor of the band's recently departed frontman. Get it here
.
- The Futureheads - self-titled. Something I wanted for a while but never ended up getting 'til now. I've always sorta liked their style, kinda part The Jam part early XTC. Songs I like: A To B, First Day, Hounds Of Love
- The Rentals - Seven More Minutes. Dollar bin find number one. AKA "the old bassist from Weezer tries to make a Brit Pop album slightly too late for Brit Pop to still be popular". Sometimes the vocals are too affected, but overall I like this - some of the ballads are very pretty. Songs I like: Getting By, Overlee, My Head Is In The Sun
- The Reverend Horton Heat - Liquor In The Front. Dollar bin find number two. I knew "I Can't Surf" from one of those Tony Hawks Pro Skater games, and was also intrigued by the fact that it credited Al Jourgensen with production. Basically imagine a rockabilly album produced like an Industrial Metal album. It's a pretty cool sound actually. Songs I like: I Can't Surf, Baddest Of The Bad, In Your Wildest Dreams

Led Zeppelin - How The West Was Won. Triple live album from 1972* . HOLY SHIT IT'S EPIC. The sheer intensity of the sound...
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...I got 2 C Ds from my brother this christmas:
Nirvana - Nirvana (hated by the critics)
Foo Fighters - In Your Honor (disliked by my brother who gave those C Ds to me)

And a million fanfics were written...I assume you mean the self-titled Greatest Hits Album? The couple reviews I saw didn't really seem to say it was bad so much as unnecessary and not terribly cohesive, which I'd somewhat agree with. It seems like it would at least be somewhat of a decent introduction though. If nothing else, because it's chronological, it'd be kind of easy to pick the album to start with.

Datsik - Boom EP
Calypso has the SICKEST DROP EVER. Sounds kinda like Starscream puking his guts out. ^w^
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I'm sure we all got music as Christmas gifts!! I got The Beach Boys S Mi LE Sessions and Bruce Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town on vinyl! Happy bee.
Interestingly, no matter where I look, I can never seem to find Born to Run on vinyl. It's my favorite album by him and probably one of my three favorite albums ever, and it's not exactly obscure. That's pretty weird.
They're off the streets now, and back on the road on the riot trail. http://www.last.fm/user/sca_punkI haven't got anything yet (*I bought the Boom EP with some spare change in my iTunes account*), but I'll probably be getting Target giftcards from relatives, in that case Imma get myself The Path Of Totality.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I received Cervantine by A Hawk and a Hacksaw, The Ultimate Devotion by Marc Rizzo, and Money Jungle by Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus & Max Roach.
I also got various gift cards, and am considering what to buy with them.
My brother (who's pretty cool about sharing his music with me) received Goi, Rode, Goi! by Arkona and What Lies Beneath by Tarja.
