No 40K thread yet? I'm surprised. Nay, shocked, shocked I say to discover there's gambling going on in this establishment...
I'm eagerly anticipating the imminent 5th Edition release, personally, but I was interested to know if anyone here plays and has a differing opinion on it. There are certainly plenty of people out there who seem to think that 40K 4th edition "only just" came out and that a new edition isn't needed. Anyone?
Warhammer Fantasy (including Age of Sigmar and WFRP) has its own thread here

You know, speaking of Lorgar, I find it quite poignant that the ONLY primarch who genuinely liked Angron was also the same one that damned him to slavery to Khorne for eternity by turning him into a Daemon Prince, in part because Angron saved his life at one point, and Lorgar thought he was doing Angron a favor.
Just like the Emperor depending on how one views his teleportation of Angron away from his gladiators.
Hell, the worst things that happened to Angron, the nails and becoming a Daemon Prince was because he saved someone's life, IE sparing his adoptive father against the wishes of the slavers.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Erebus is the only Space Marine worthy of respect.
He is evil, knows it, owns it, and had the balls and determination to look at a not-god that could make armies kneel with just a thought and said "i'm gonna ruin this man's whole career".
And then he did.
Oh, also Space Marine 3 is officialy in developpment
. More than twenty years and xenos game don't get a single sequel, but we can greenlight a space marine sequel within a year of their previosu game releasing.
Please GW, tell us again how people who root for the Imperium are just idiots who "don't get the satire" and it's not your fault if Nazis like the Imperium.

This time on Heresy Thrursday we get to see Mechanicum Knights
for Legions Imperialis. I wonder if these are big enough to be converted into alternate Siege Automata or guard-bots in 28mm?

Here's
◊ a size comparison between a Titanicus Knight and a Space Marine, and the Titanicus range does double duty in LI.
Someone posted this excerpt on Lucius from the new codex:
"Lucius does not know how many times he has died. Each time he returns wears away at his fragile sanity, but more so at his pride. However painful his return is to the individual he subsumes, the swordsman cannot escape the knowledge that it was a foe he did not kill with his own skill. Lucius is forever denied the chance to prove his superiority against them, and the thought enrages him."
Truly a blessing from the savorer of sensations.

Slaanesh cheats. Like the rules don't really matter as long as Slaanesh is entertained by her toy.
So a mindless Necron could kill him, and suddenly the Necron would become Lucius.
In fact, I bet she wants us to keep thinking up ways to loophole Lucius to death so we'd feel disappointment when it inevitably doesn't work.
So who the fuck told that one mine maker "Good job, your mine killed Lucius. Emperor bless you."?

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Now I know that the real rule is that as long as Slaanesh is entertained by her favorite chew toy, Lucius will keep coming back because it hurts his pride that much, but honestly, I can see a scenario where Kharn kills Lucius without even realizing it in a berserker rage, and Slaanesh can't turn Kharn to Lucius because Khorne is still stronger than her, and protects his champion.
So Slaanesh just turns a complete rando into Lucius.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!""In the millennia since that first horrific resurrection, Lucius has returned from death each time. How, when and where it happens never seems to occur the same way twice. He has emerged from within the flesh of a six-armed alien mercenary aboard a voidship light years from his place of death. He has pushed his way out of a gory pit of putrefying servitor offcuts on a forge world. He once surfaced from the living metal of a Cryptek centuries after his death at the hands of the Necron's mindless automata."
Even if someone takes no pride in his death, Slaanesh will just cheat and just bring back Lucius one way or the other.

I actually like that Guilliman is weaker compared to his brothers relatively, since the more interesting parts of his character IMO are his return when he's trying his best to put tape on the broken dam that is the Imperium and reacting to how insane everything has become.
No coincidence that my favorite traitor primarch is Angron, who has taken so many losses and is one of the worst dads.
