No, not that kind.

So where is your user picture from? Care to share what pics you use on other forums? (I know we used to have a thread about this, but it seems it was lost in The Great Crash.)

My current avatar, and all my previous avatars, are from Gunnerkrigg Court. So it's probably safe to assume that all my future avatars will be from there as well.

Oh, that's before the ending. I can't figure out how he did some of the stuff in that movie, and Lynch gets mad when people ask him.

I was using the Wikipedia article's summary. And I heard the baby's horrifying.

I remain concvinced that it was done with demonic assistance. it explains so much.

My only advice is this: watch it in the best quality you can get it. It's a beautiful movie and it deserves more than a tiny pixellated internet vid.

If you can get good internet vids, fine - but fullscreen 'em dammit!

Also, did you know that Lynch renegotiated the contracts of everyone who gave money to the film so that they could get some money back when it was a surprise success?

I take pride in my predictability, thank you very much.

I'm going to stay out of this thread for a while to avoid getting spoiled, of all things.

Is there such a thing as falling in true love with a show after the first two minutes? grin

Still haven't seen past the episode of TTGL with Nia's introduction. Need to rectify that.

T.T. Gurren Lagann starts off nicely. Those are no stars...those are enemies! And we can take 'em!

Glenn, TTGL is smarter than it looks. It's a lie to claim that it doesn't take itself seriously. It's also a lie to claim that it ever does. It just is what it is, and is completely aware of it.

I've had like three or four Gainax avatars in a row now completely on accident, because Gainax is just that awesome.

Gurren Lagann is the only Gainax thing I've seen. I plan to watch FLCL eventually though.

I guess it is.

It turns out that the anime I chose to introduce myself to anime were almost entirely made by Gainax. Gurren Lagann, FLCL, Evangelion... I've since branched out a little bit... but, yeah. So Yeah.

FLCL is great, I daresay fantastic, even... if you don't think too hard about what's going on. Just embrace the madness.

So I've heard. Not really what I'm in the mood for right now, but I'll watch it next time I feel like something insane. (Trying to find decently-priced Full Metal Panic at the moment.)
