Well, Toughs' luck is officially dwarfing that of the entire ancient galactic empire.
I'm not sure if it is luck, or simply Kiff Tagon having a great taste in subordinates.
The existence of the crayon rubbings guy is a matter of luck.
Yeah, but the crayon rubbing guy wouldn't have appeared if Lieutenant Le Fevre hadn't organized that big deep knowledge symposium, and attracted him, and he wouldn't have been allowed to speak at all if Schlock hadn't shown up and intervened. With the help of a Professor that not long before Schlocky wanted to swallow whole, of course...
I think one of the reasons is that where most bureaucracy's and organizsations on hearing "We need to do This Big Thing" would respond with "<insert 50 reasons we don't want to>" the Tagons usual response is "Okay. Do it."
"You can reply to this Message!"It does help to have access to very large amounts of money. Arguments about funding is always one of the big "We don't want to do this" issues.
When you're a civilization that builds planet-sized habitats made out of extremely expensive artificial elements and you spend fourteen millennia on a job, budget is not in your concerns.
Stepping back a bit, I think Putzho did see it coming... and that may be why he's not directly present for that conversation. It's hard enough to live through it once.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Interesting that it was phrased "the ambition of youth," and not the folly thereof. Not as cynical as it first looks.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I knew it. Though admittedly I didn't think it would be quite this easy.
And I'm with Petey. This seems like the sort of thing you would mention as soon as possible.
Shit, I forget who's in my contact list, too, and I've had considerably fewer millennia with which to build it up.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.(Mind you, I have days where my mind thinks 2+2 equals "cat", so I don't have a lot of room to talk... )
All your safe space are belong to TrumpOh. Petey looks worried.
So are we back to that? In addition to the end-guns and other self-destructive paths, and the pa'anuri, there's something else horrible killing galactic civilizations every once in a while?
Yes, probably. That's something the inflatable people want to find out. In person.
The civilization that All-Star tried offering upload immortality to MADed itself into oblivion even without long guns. Those things sure make things go bad, but more conventional apocalypse is not to be underestimated.
The Oafans are still pretty new to Galstandard West; they really need to remember to say more than they imply.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. And they're still at it.

No wonder that Pete is performing the Picard Manoeuvre that doesn't involve tucking in his uniform.
Yeah, that is the reason why Thurl is staying dead.
I appreciate how his essential appearance does not change, but his clothing approximates A Form You Are Comfortable With.
Yup. He's still at it this morning.
And again.

I shudder to think how much practice he's been getting recently.
Petey HAS got a good choice in friends, my inflatable neighbours!
