Well, for most of them, maybe, but my Inner Pervert wouldn't mind a team so attired (or not attired, as the case may be) comprised of Elf, the doc, and Para Ventura (hey, she's legal... Tagon's 50, and she said when building Tagii that she was 31 years younger than him).
(This forum needs an eyebrow waggle emoticon...
)
Even if I can't think of any possible reason to justify that setup that wouldn't sound like a 2-bit porno flick "plot", or a crappy parody thereof.

The reverend takes physical affection very seriously, so it would have been a big issue for her marriage.
But more importantly, Rule of Funny.

Eh... I think this one's pretty much running on Rule of Funny, Haven, although this being Howard Tayler, you know it's going to bring in something... interesting... much like Kevyn's team did. It may not be quite as impressive as Chekhov's Death Ray over Credomar way, but you never know. My guess is that, since it's an historic site, there'll be some clue to either neo-LOTA or else yet another skeleton in the UNS' closet.
... huh. You know, all this time I'd been assuming that the emergency meeting was in response to whatever info Kerchak brought from Petey (honestly, how can you not love a godlike being named 'Petey', of all things?), since he'd naturally bring it to Tagon. The way things have been going, though... hmmm.
Ninjas? In YOUR mall? It's more likely than you think.
But significantly less plausible, if you ask me.
edit: Oh hey, peeking at archives a bit, I can conclusively say this plot is not going to tie in to the news about Kevyn's clone and Tagon's father going missing. Why? Because Thurl still needed to call Tagon to bring him in

In the interests of encouraging discussion, that does bring up an interesting (or at least interesting to me) question: Where does the doc and the lawyer fit into the Tough command hierarchy?
In Real Life militaries, neither doctors nor lawyers are eligible for command of a combat unit (JAG had the main male protagonist as a line officer before the lawyer thing, so he doesn't count... even ignoring the whole Bellisario's Maxim thing
), but what about for the Toughs?
We know that they don't stick rigorously to what most would consider military discipline, and AFAIK there's never been a thorough in-universe or narrator discussion about the Tough's charter or the fine details of its rules/regs outside the specific context of any given point, so we can't just point to Real Life and say "there, question answered. Have a nice day".

All your safe space are belong to TrumpMassey is always in mufti, but the doc has a uniform. The expectation may be that she may get in harms way, or harm may get to her, during her duties. In the USAF, doctors are automatically part of the officer corps. Hmm, the docs uniform is red, with rectangular rank insignia, so I'm sure she's an officer, but I don't know what rank.
Edit: Ebby and Pie have the same colors and insignia, so the doc holds the rank of lieutenant.

- unless he's been promoted since then (unlikely, given Shodan's comments about him and the Doc arm-wrestling for command), he's also a Looey.
Shodan accepts
that he's now in command.

To be fair, I doubt he knows what a megaPascal is.
