Hello! I'm nicraf2000 (nick for short), and I live in Italy. I have been a lurker on this site from at least a couple of months, but now I have finally decided to make an account. I created it mainly for the purpose of translating pages and chatting in the forums, but maybe I will also make some edits when I will become better at writing in English.

I am actually not a newbie by now, but I guess it would still be decent to finally introduce myself...
Anyways — hello there, my real first name is Piotr (our local equivalent of Peter), age 33 as of year 2021 Anno Domini. I am a lawyer by profession and I work at the court as a judge's assistant (and in the future, hopefully, as a judge). However, beyond what I do for a living, I am an avid enthiustast of popular culture in every form — be it books, comics, movies or video games. With emphasis on fantasy, science fiction, horror and military genres. I am also wildly interested in history, particularly World War Two and in general, I try to learn a bit of something about everything. I also do skiing in winter and sailing in summer, and I am an amateur writer — currently hindered by persistent writer's block.
My interest with popular culture is also probably what brought me to TV Tropes in the first place. Well, that and my good friend who visited the site long before me and from whom I learned about its existence. I just love analysing works of popular art (thought not too deep) and read analyses of them. Each time I watch a movie or read a book, I tend to look into it much deeper than people I know in real life.
Contrary to what the first part my nickname may indicate, I am not German, nor from any other German-speaking country. Close enough, though, because I live a bit to the east from there. In Poland, that is, if you happened to sleep on your geography school lessons.
In real life, I am quiet, shy and reserved... unless someone pushes one of my Berserk Buttons, in which case I also reveal that I'm very nervous and prone to mood swings. I do like to spend some time with good company (and good booze - particularly beer and wine; I like whiskey too, and actually most alcoholic drinks except — big shock — vodka) but I mostly spend my free hours either at a computer, or reading a book or sitting in front of TV watching a movie. Preferably with said beer and something to snack on.
