Meet the Tropers: newbie thread/introductions.

Been a member for a while, just forgot the forums existed. I'm Seb, or Sym, or whatever name I end up with... Nice to meet you all. I'll be most active in Writer's Block or Forum Games if you need me.

Sometimes I'm on TVT, sometimes I'm not.

I'm AHS Velocity, someone who really needs to change their username, and I'm a big fan of Danganronpa, Ace Attorney, Undertale, Crypt Of The Necrodancer, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Hello I'm Sylvi wingedcatgirl. I'm mostly on these forums to nerd out about the media I like, which includes but is not limited to Kingdom Hearts, RWBY, FFXIV, and a rotating selection of like twelve other things that I'm into for a month or two at a time.

I also participate in the occasional forum game or roleplay.

On the wiki, I sort of adopt the pages of works I like and make sure they're up to snuff with proper example indentation and context and stuff.

I've been on tvtropes for ages (though this account is only two-ish years old because I needed a name change when I realized I was trans) but haven't really participated in the social side until recently.

I'm into writing fanfic and stuff, which is why I have an Author Discord Server™ in my sig, if that's a thing anyone is interested in.

I regret making my username my actual real world name but I made it when I was trying to move away from anonymised usernames everyone used pre-2010 because our parents told us not to give away real life information online. Nonetheless, it's a part of this account now and I can't change it.

I'm a cocktail bartender by trade and a scribbler for my own amusement. Most of it rarely goes beyond neat ideas for a scene or a world or a character, but they're enough to make me smile sometimes. I've been reading since I can remember and watching movies and TV from shortly afterwards, and TV Tropes ended up being a convenient place to sink my time wanting to dissect things afterwards, when I was up late at night thinking about things that caught in the gears of my mind. From there I grew up and at one point in apparently early 2015 I decided to make a couple of edits, and probably not very high quality ones either.

Since then I've continued to hop onto the site regularly but only made a handful of edits. Now, over five years later I've noticed there's a forum side to the site so I'm poking my nose in here to see what it's like and if I'll loiter on more than just the shop window of trope and media pages.

This place has led to a lot of great discoveries and helped me a lot in my various writing projects, and I figured now was as good a time as any to join this place.

Hello! I call myself Mr. Toodle-oo on the Internet, and I have been a Troper since July 7, 2018 (which was during the summer after I graduated from high school).

My username comes from Big Bird’s “Toodle-oo!” closing bumper, which was one of the many closing credits/logo things that caught my attention as a kid. I am still a fan of things like closing logos to this day. I am also a big fan of movies, TV shows (including cartoons), music and computers, but I have a lot of shows and movies that I want to catch up on!

And by the way, I was diagnosed with high-functioning autism at age 4.

I became a Troper to help correct and add information about media, and I think I’m going to enjoy talking about my childhood on some of these forums.

P.S.: Cityscapes put me in a good mood.

Hi, I'm Trocryst aka Mike and I've been a member for a while but never really posted much. Anyways, I mostly visit TV Tropes for neuronarration inspiration (wow! nice rhyme). I wish I could write an actual page on the tropes of my paracosm without succumbing to my inability to write coherently (and use markup) but oh well.

Hey there. My name is JamesTCat and I am a Housepets! Comic enthusiast working on a lifelong Housepets! Tokusatsu crossover fanfiction called Kaizoku Sentai Power Rangers Kingkaiger.

It is exactly what you think with the goal to last as long as possible working on the series as if it's an actual tokusatsu series. I will abide by the rules and treat everyone as if they were me.

I'll make the actual works page for the fanfiction as soon as "Season 1" is completed. Season 1 is adapting Ninninger with the dominating flavor being Gokaiger as said dominating flavor will persist throughout the entire work.

Thanks Demetrios. I promise, this series I will be working on will be the longest running fan fiction series in existence. Just get used to the Seven Kingkaigers. They will be the main heroes for the entire run.

I was active here years ago... and recently found the site again, got hooked paging through again, and decided to find and use my account. So, re-introducing myself. SF fan (written and TV), been known to write fiction (may check out the Writer's Block), and science nerdette.

I'm not a new person on here as such, but thought I'd make a new post here as it's all change in people!

I was on mainly back in 2012ish, came back briefly in 2015, and now here again because like it's fun and games and there's people and whatnot. I'm Cata, famously known for nothing in particular. Big fan of things like Twin Peaks, if you hadn't guessed, classic Simpsons, Futurama, Scrubs, those kind of things that make me believe life is a sitcom. Big movie buff too, although I might have to give that title away as I genuinely loved Venom and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (it's a worthy addition to the whole Godzilla franchise damn it!).

Outside of being me, I'm also me but under a mask and whilst playfighting with oily blokes in the name of pro-wrestling. It's fun yo.

After more than 10 years of reading tvtropes and lurking its forums I thought I'd make an account.

We'll see how this goes. I'll probably end up lurking a lot, but in the mean time I'll probably be in the webcomics forum.

I've been a fan of this site for a long time; I'll cruise through random pages whenever I'm bored, for example. And with the Quarantine and me being currently furloughed from work at the moment I figured what the hell, let's join this party! So here I am.

In terms of the site I read a bunch of different webcomics, as I'm always looking for a good story. I also enjoy DeathBattle, and I'm a big sports fan.

In reality I'm a lot of things, but at my core I'm a cross country runner. "Blur" is my running nickname and Hyper because I can be really energetic in social situations, so Hyper Blur seemed appropriate.

So glad to be here and looking forward to what comes next!

I've been here a few weeks now, but better late than never; I'm WoodKnapp94, but you probably knew that already. I mainly joined the wiki to help spread Wiki Magic to works that don't have that many tropes listed. I've been in love with television my whole life, meaning I've seen a lot of shows and recognized a lot of tropes, and it turns out there are a lot of shows that are being neglected by the wiki while shows like My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Buffy the Vampire Slayer get all the attention; this is what I want to fix. There Is No Such Thing as Notability, after all. I also have experience in music and video games, by the way. Don't expect immediate results, though, I'm still learning.
