Ello all! Thought I'd finally stop lurking an post already.

I'm a nineteen year old college student living in the United States who's currently studying mad science biology, and hoping to study ethology in the future. I’d say I’m generally an idealistic cynic (in other words, Humans Are REDEEMABLE Bastards), although I may fall into pure cynicism depending on my mood, and online, I tend to fall somewhere between a Cloudcuckoolander and a Large Ham.

I’ve been a gaming geek since I was able to actually use a controller, and I’m a budding anime fan now that I can actually afford to fund both hobbies. I also used to be somewhat of a bookworm, but a myriad of issues put a stop to that. Other interests of mine include researching psychology (especially abnormal psychology. I’m the kind of person who could take enjoyment from reading the DSM-IV-TR) and biology (obviously), drawing, wasting time on the internet, abusing ellipsis and parenthesis (…), and building doomsday devices and raising armies of bloodthirsty mutants.

Last off, I probably won’t be very active for now, and at most, you’ll probably all just see me on the forum and possibly in Troper Tales. I’m not exactly at my best at the moment, and I’d like to be functioning a little better before I start any major contributions.

Welcome, and don't feel obliged to try to meet some sort of arbitrary level of activity. Whatever works for you, works. But when you run across Made Of Meat, be careful. She's a Mad Scientist as well.

I'll keep that in mind.

Eh. I think there's room enough for two asexual mad scientists in this world. Well... Until I send it hurtling towards the sun, that is. evil grin

Yup. tongue I usually lurk for a few months to get a good idea of the community and the rules. I've actually lurked one site for two years before joining.

And I do believe I will.

Welcome Miijhal. Lurking is good. So is being a Mad Scientist. Therefore you are already pretty cool in my book.

..."Top Secret Mad Science Evil Research Cabal"... I like the sound of that. surprised Although it could be spiffed up a little bit. Possibly with a recursive acronym.

And now I wish I could find Snapple Rain again... And it didn't have caffeine in it.

Well, I'm really not that new. I've been posting around the forum for a few months now. Actually, since Christmas, I think. Just thought I'd introduce myself.

Hello, I'm Lucky! Or Rev. Or whatever you feel like calling me. As long as I know you're talking to me, it'll be cool. I could go into a long description of myself, but let's be honest, who wants to read that? Show, not tell, I always say.

An avatar of a two eyed being... with only one eye on display? this is outrageous!

By the way, welcome and all that stuff everyone said before me, if at any time you're feeling improductive, I've got a mantra for you:

"No matter how lazy I get with this wiki, I'll never be as improductive as Matrix"

Nommy, the word is "unproductive."

Haha, I'll be sure to take that mantra to heart. tongue

Wait, there are people who don't read that for fun? Weird. tongue

Might as well make it official...

Greetings, I am Landstander, a 23 year old Missourian, theoretically a student (long story), loves art and comics but is lately getting into science-y stuff. Evolution and doomsday scenarios in particular. My money's on either a giant asteroid or a robot revolution. My great grandmother personally knew Bugsy Seagal, my grandmother knew Bob Dylan's mother (During the mid sixties my grandma calls my dad in the army and says "Have you heard of this singer named Bobby Dylan? Well, I met his mother at the beauty parlor today, and she's just the nicest lady!"). I love silliness in the vein of Spongebob and Pee-Wee's Playhouse, I'm a big goofball. I'm jewish and get mistaken for a foreigner constantly, my brand of cigarettes is Camel Turkish Gold and my right pinky is a whole size larger than my left pinky.

I love underground non-superhero comics (Roberta Gregory rocks), the Discovery Channel I Love The Whole World ads (they always make me misty eyed but I cant stop watching it on You Tube), David Sedaris, Remus Lupin and I think Demetri Martin is one fine-ass man. And funny as hell.

Hey howdy there, folks. I've been reading and lurking for the last year or so, and finally decided to Get Known. Generally friendly when not being a total jerk. I like all kinds of crap and I know stuff about things and junk. Except when I don't. Keep up the great work on this fun site. I'll be happy to contribute if I have anything useful or relevant. Take care!

We've got the lovely "Fix It!", "Wiki Talk", and "Tech Wishlist" threads if you want to help, although I hope you can stomach the occasionally heated debates sometimes ending in an invocation of Troper's Law. Hope you have fun.

Just out of curiosity...

What, exactly, is an appropriate level of satisfaction to feel with editing a page?

I fear that my... excitement may be a bit greater than that of others >.>

I was positively giddy when I finished my first edit.

I actually did a happy dance when a name I had proposed was used the first time.
