(Mod edit to add a courtesy link to El Goonish Shive.)
Yay! Its back again! I stagger my reading of it to Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday cause there aren't enough good webcomics on those days, so I am not the best person to lead a real time discussion, but it really needs a thread. So in Monday's we see the mysterious return of the dark figure. (linky)
Who is starting to sound really, really desperate.
Also, is it just the art upgrade, or does Ellen's green ray seem more... jeeze, what is a same word to use? Powerful? More powerful then usual?

@Neep: Eeenteresting. Not satisfying though. Where was this? What arc?
@Medinoc: That's more of a rule of funny.
New User HandleVarious arcs; I know sometime during the color strips was one of them. Lemme go find it, one sec.
EDIT: Haven't found a cross yet, but I found this.

Whelp, I can criticize Shive on a lot of things, but he does have foreshadowing down.
New User HandleI've been thinking, guys. I really don't like how Dan gave Susan that tragic backstory without foreshadowing it a little bit more. For the longest time I've seen Susan as the oversensitive feminist, so the fact that she suddenly has a tragic backstory- I dunno, that's a hard pill to swallow. I think being forced to kill someone would stand out more than finding your dad cheating on your mom.
Great...
Grace seems to be ignoring the advice she got from Jerry.
Fascinating. So Nanase is a wimpy girly-girl without her powers. Shame, I thought she was actually strong on her own. Ah well, I'll slap it into unfortunate implications when I feel less lazy.
And After multiple accounts it's prety clear at this point that Grace is bi-polar.
Just Sayin'.
I was aexaggerating. Point I was trying to make was that now that powers go bye bye, so do the fact she had strength that would make Shwartzeneggar run and hide crying. And there I go using yet another misplaced analogy that is far too extreme. Let me re-iterate:
"Revealing magic Nanase make Nanase Stronger than Nanase actually is seem like not-nice."
When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!I don't know why, but I REALLY disliked this comic. The joke was incredibly forced, Ellen annoyed me for no reason other than the shirt she was wearing, and Nanase...there is more to fighting than being able to bench. Just saying. It's mostly about torque.
Fridge Logic: Nanase and Ellen are together because Elliot and Nanase were the perfect match, except for the gender issue. But Ellen has a completely different personality due to the nose binging. Hrm.

New User HandleBecause a teenage girl benching a 160 pounds is "girly girl-ish" since when? I don't see Nanase becoming some Distressed Damsel, as she does also have her magic back, she just can't use it at the new dojo or she might cause people to freak out. You know with those stupid "paranormal seekers" in town and all?
Anyhow, more foreshadowing, again... Anyone else sometimes want to go creep behind Dan and tell him to Get On With It! In the Monty Pythonand The Holy Grail God voice and all.

Sonic hates SOPAEllen is definitely a mix. I seriously doubt the alternate history fundamentally altered her entire personality. How else would Nanase use her as a gauge for Elliot's disinterest in geeky things? There are probably deeper similarities than obvious differences.
When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!It seems like a bit shaky and unclear though. :/. Plus, I'm still annoyed more with the way he seems to be handling the karate. You could bench a thousand pounds, that does not mean you can fight.
New User Handle

Nanase has worn a cross necklace on occasion, but yeah.
You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.
