Yay! Its back again! I stagger my reading of it to Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday cause there aren't enough good webcomics on those days, so I am not the best person to lead a real time discussion, but it really needs a thread. So in Monday's we see the mysterious return of the dark figure. (linky)
Who is starting to sound really, really desperate.
Also, is it just the art upgrade, or does Ellen's green ray seem more... jeeze, what is a same word to use? Powerful? More powerful then usual?

I think my theory is right. Also, egads this went from zero to a hundred.
regulation pigeonThis is The End of Hope .
Yep, last page in the Hope arc. Wait, what did you think I meant?
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. It's a mystery.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. That expression says the misunderstanding wasn't an accident.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Yup, there's a tale that the slippers being glass was a mistranslation
although it's fairly well debunked. Something like that used to be one of the few jokes I could tell in French where two men were about to put out the boat for fishing when one asked, "Did you bring the worms (vers)?" and the other replying, "We don't need glasses (verres) because I don't have any wine."
Sure, if you own a private plane, you register it under an LLC and rent it out when you’re not using it. Same thing here.
You're pretty, you don't need to know how to actually do things.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Poor Edward hasn't even had his coffee yet.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. You've already started a conspiracy board, haven't you.
The only possible explanation for this is that Edward has mega evolved into a double immortal!
... I think that's about as good as I can do with that bit. My actual guess is that either she did technically offer him hospitality for the specific purpose of not locking him out (and it still counts even if he wasn't there at the time and doesn't know), or else accepting his hospitality does it too.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.My money is on it being because she's accepting his hospitality by staying in his house. Of course, if that's the case, then I wonder if Justin's uncle Jim could have seen the place had he walked in when it was in the comic shop, or if it only applies to homes. Of course, now I'm double-speculating, and nothing good ever comes of that.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Oh, I just figured she was sleeping in a normal guest room.

Writer, or something. Push the button, if you dare. 🖲️When Tedd offered her hospitality, she said
there is no spare room (Grace has what presumably used to be the guest room), but that Hope could move her dwelling into the house. So that’s what this is.
Maybe Edward, the powerful wizard, has a true-seeing spell he never bothers to turn off.

Well, that josses one of my theories. I had assumed that Edward had copied the chart spell from one of the Dunkel parents (mostly based on this old strip
).
"You can invite friends without permission when you get your own house."

Maybe it's less restrictive than just "kill for kill". I think it's more "their actions need to match a mortal". That would maybe explain why it's related to Hope being allowed to compete in a card tournament.
Also, um, wow. Was not expecting that.
