I haven't had much time to go on TV Tropes lately... First I go on vacation to the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas, and just as I get back and have time to go on, my internet breaks and I have to stay away for another two days. That was quite frustrating.

I never understood why Willy Wonka and the choclate factory was called willy wonka and the choclate factory, there's a whole lot more stuff in there than just choclate. Saying that Willy Wonkas factory is just a choclate factory is like saying burger king is a fry shop. So I googled "If it's true that entries on google are stored so that advertising companies can research what evreybody is searching to make ads that try to appeal to them, then google, maybe you should search for privacy on google", and how many results did I get? 69500

Just noting I'll be on the road to Texas starting tonight, meaning I'll likely be offline for a few days.

I changed my title. It's a combination of Lumpenproletariat, Lumpenbourgeoisie and Peteite bourgeoisie, making up some kind of decription of what I think my social class is.

I approve. Meanwhile, I think my own title accurately reflects my social class already.

Just to keep things random, I think I might start a blog for the sorts of unnecessarily-verbose rants I keep wanting to post here but think better of. And for those of you who've read more than a couple of my posts, tremble at the thought of what I would consider "unnecessarily" verbose.

Okay. Rant time.

Do Deconstructions HAVE to be dark, miserable and unpleasant? Because it seems like most of them are. The Incredibles averts this, though, I think. I put Watchmen on reserve at the library, but I'm worried it's going to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Also, I sigh and shake my head with boredom every time someone complains that they changed the voice actors in games. Example: Apparently Raine Sage is back in Tales of Symphonia 2. They changed her voice actor. People are already complaining. Personally, I *LIKE* the new voice. It matches her personality more, I think. I will never understand all these complaints. Or else I will never understand why these complaints are so bitchtastic. Geez, it's not THAT big a deal, is it?

I don't know if it's Fan Dumb, the fact that I am an EXTREMELY fast and perceptive reader, or something else, but I feel like I'm losing my ability to enjoy fiction. I think this is partially because right now, truth is MUCH stranger than fiction. Just look at the global political climate.

I recently noticed that the two boards I visit regulary on 4chan are /mu/ (music) and /cm/ (Cute/Male). I used to check /a/ (Anime) and /c/ (Anime/Cute), but soon noticed that there's a thin line between /a/ and /b/, and /c/ is just downright creepy at times. And I'm holding any double standards, it's just that the whole climate over at /c/ is a bit creepy, and sometimes violent (mostly against series the poster doesn't like), while the most negative thing you'll see on /cm/ is complaints over female presence in pictures (usually lampshaded at posting, "pardon the boobs").

I don't know what it is, maybe if you take away the tits, the collective IQ goes up a notch.

Not to stereotype, but for young men this seems just about right. If by "notch" you mean "standard deviation." Maybe two standard deviations.

And I'm a young man, so I get to say stuff like that.

Fuck, I need to go cycle through the rain through the town, look for my brothers wallet, have one of his friends take it to him by train, and all this before 11 AM (two hours from now), when I'm leaving town for our summer place.

Right, didn't find the wallet, but got to do escapades with a whole lotta cash money, 540€ to be exact. And damn, only half an hour till I leave...

You know what I want to do? I want tie my feet to a rope and hang upside down infront of my parents bedroom door so the first thing they see and hear when they walk out is a guy hanging upside down and saying good morning.

I admire your devotion, and, if resources were permitting, I'd set up a website to garner support for this.

Oh, if only I knew how to design and market a website...

Well I really can't do that zeph fox, I don't really have rope or a place to tie the rope to, that and I think the hallway outside of my parents bedroom is too small to do it well.

Well, my roommate finally arrived; he recognized a reference to the Xanatos Gambit, which is a plus.

I liked Watchmen a lot...but it was pretty damn dark. Oh, and the way Venture Brothers and Shrek went about its deconstructions was pretty funny.

Speaking of Deconstructions, who know what I would like to see savagely deconstructed, with no hold barred and no pity whatsoever? Modern vampire fiction. I can't stand how the bloodsucking bastards have come to dominate nearly every Urban Fantasy novel I come across.

I'll have to say, a Christian Engineering school is an interesting experience. Where else do you get real-life Rick-Rolled while walking to chapel?

I'm just going to have to stare at the phrase "Christian Engineering School" for a while. I'm imagining classes like "Pastor Construction 203: Applied Techniques", but that's probably not it.

Conversion 395: Creating Your Light on the Road to Damascus. Probably interdisciplinary.

Okay, so last night I was working on a list of spells to keep in mind for something I'm working on, and one of the spell groups is logic. The Key Spells? Plot, Contingency, Gambit, and Roulette.

Drunk admin. Yep. Admin who has been at the "branch-water" all stinkin' night. Girlfriend is off on some business bullshit in frickin' Holland. Baby is with grands. My parents, that is. No telling what weird crap they are teaching her. The grands, not the Dutch.

First off, lol. Secondly, from my own experience, the grandparents teach the grandchildren to subvert the rule of the parents. It's like they get to be kids again.
