@Tzetze: What we've done so far doesn't really compare to the major extinction events. The article is talking about events like the Late Devonian Extinction Event, where 70% of the species went extinct, rather than something on the scale of the Quaternary Extinction Event, where, for the most part, the extinctions were focused on large mammals.
Which 70's band is better, Led Zeppelin or Queen?
"Wax on, wax off..." "But Mr. Miyagi, I don't see how this is helping me do Karate..." "Pubic hair is weakness, Daniel-san!"I was just attacked by moths.
I don't think I'll ever recover. It was in my hair! IT WAS IN MY FUCKING HAIR. ;_;
NO TREE FOR ME (ALSO LOVES HER BOYFRIEND)I spent the day reading a Victorian novel and laughing at English major jokes, and now I'm feeling conflicted about an aspect of the philosophy of mathematics. So conflicted...

INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.But but but Jimmy Page is a guitar god!
Funny thing, Robert Plant and Brian May both have Isaac Newton-esque hair.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.Exactly. My biggest Missed Moment of Awesome is the lack of an event featuring them both.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.I think that their timelines don't meet enough for such a thing to happen, would it?
Anyway, to give a full rundown, well...
Led Zeppelin has: Amazing drummer, amazing keyboardist, amazing bassist, not-so-amazing-while-live guitar player, most amazing producer and great vocalist.
Queen has: Above-average drummer, not-so-much-of-an-expert piano player, above-average bassist, an amazingly-awesome-both-live-and-in-the-studio guitar player and probably the best vocalist of all time.
Now, it's not like this proves which one is better, because at the end of the day, musical complexity =/= musical quality, but it certainly sums up their members well, I think.
"My life is my own" | If you want to contact me privately, please ask first on the forum.Eh, Led Zeppelin does have songs in different genres as well. That's not really a reason, to be honest. Especially with stuff like Physical Graffiti, which is Plant and Page going on all "Lol, we've never played X. Let's try that"
"My life is my own" | If you want to contact me privately, please ask first on the forum.Zep's a little too funky for my taste, aside from a few songs, but I'd have to give the nod to them for historical significance. Everyone likes Queen, but entire genres wouldn't exist if Led Zeppelin hadn't.
I will keep my soul in a place out of sight, Far off, where the pulse of it is not heard.

I thought it was called the anthropocene.
