Yeah, small steps.

Eh, recently I've been less than optimistic about any change at all. The people who want to change things don't have the power. The ones with the power don't want to change it.

But that's a different can of worms.

I've never been optimistic about change, ever.

It's all really tiny and you can't really spend it anywhere so you have to take it to the bank every month, it's really annoying.

I should pistolwhip all of them with an NES zapper, obviously.

And Grogmeister wins.

Problems can be bigger than people.

^^ Amusing. But what about the bus? Or the payphone? Or vending machines?

I have to wonder what road of evolution eventually led to the origin of the Asian Giant Hornet.

Or, for that matter, Keet-tastic bums who just want you to help a guy out?

Obviously it's what happens when an Asian meets a Giant and they love a hornet a little more than they should...

In all seriousness, those things are evil. Why Wriggle hasn't taken over the world by now is beyond me.

Wriggle's a hornet?

I thought he was a firefly or something.

But what about the bus? Or the payphone? Or vending machines?

I have a bus card and a cell phone, and I only use whole-euro coins for vending machines. Sucka. cool

Increasingly larger generation of hornets. When your main traits are “stinging the bejesus out of all that lives” and “biting the heads off a shit-ton of honey bees” being enormous certainly doesn’t hurt.

Edit: Hurt yourself that is. It certainly hurts everything else that isn't a giant hornet.

@Scholastica: Oooooh, yes. God save us all if she ever travels to Australia...

@Groggy: Heh, funny thing about euros is that they're partly the reason why Greece's financial collapse was so bad. See, before the euro, different European nations had different currency, and while this made trade difficult it also meant finances were harder to disrupt in a chain reaction. Now we put all of Europe under an umbrella of one currency and but put all the banking through one nation (i.e. Greece). Whoops!

I actually didn't know why Greece was doing so badly, actually. I kinda had the idea that the euro was still doing relatively well, what with it still being worth much more than the dollar.

...true, but the euro started out as being more or less equal with the dollar back in 1999. I think one euro is still more or less worth a dollar and fifty cents a quarter?

I find funny that Panama is a third world country heavily dependant on US, with being dollarized since the beginning. And during this economic crisis, Panama kept its economic growth at reasonable rate.

Panama Rocks! But its depiction in media leaves a lot to be desired:

-Prison Break: Guilty of:

  • Generic Latin Land location: While Panama City and Colón, specially Colón have a very Caribbean culture.
  • Military: Thanks to the ill-named Operation Just Cause and the subsequent capture of Noriega. Panama has had no formal military since 1990.

Panama was in Gundam Seed too. One of the last battles in the war, ZAFT victory, led to the destruction of it's Mass Driver and the massacre of the Alliance troops who surrendered there.

There are lots of Cities and Towns called Panama. Lack of originality, guys.
