Only in Japan. I haven't noticed very many high pitched voice actresses in dubs. But then again, I don't watch very many dubs. So you can probably just ignore this.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityThey exist in Lucky Star, Excel Saga, and Stephanie Sheh. At least.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Imagine if Nancy Pelosi-chan had an oh-so-adorable Verbal Tic. I lean towards "Kyaaaan~", or something like that.
Feedback Of Heteronormative Gender Stereotypes in AnimeMoebama. What's "Yes, we can!" in Japanese? That can be his Verbal Tic.
@Made Of Meat: Why bother translating it? Just have him say "yesuwikan".

I guess it is.Can't watch it, but I'm already thinking back to that thing with Obama-kun and Hilary-chan.
I can't compete with that, and yet I'll ask my question. I have ten or twenty minutes-worth of homework to do. I use a computer program and get it done in a minute or so. Is this lazy? Cheating?
The program took me half an hour to write. :P Lazy? Cheating?
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I tried, I really did, but I thought that The Bible was boring and I thought that the satire/parody/whatever was too. I'll probably pick up a copy with annotations sometime, that might help.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Heh, I got through about halfway and then went "Screw it, this should just be a movie already."
The allegory's cool, but I can't focus my attention on the dialogue. WALL OF TEXT LOL
Wall of Text indeed. The problem with aping the format of something boring is that the result will be boring.
That's why I like the Principia Discordia, really. It has a completely different breezy tone, which is the sort of thing I usually like to read. I immediately start thinking "PRETENTIOUS PRETENTIOUS PRETENTIOUS" while reading that oldie dialogue.

What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Not so for me. When people start using Big Words, I immediately begin to think that they're using it to cover up the fact that they're not in fact saying anything, due to my personal experience. Let me try an example.
2. God may exist in the understanding.
3. It is greater to exist in reality and in the understanding than just in understanding.
4. Therefore, God exists in reality.
This could have been easily expressed as "bullshit", but there's lots of grammatical constructions like "of which nothing greater" and "exist in the understanding" which are archaic and silly and hide the fact that it is asking you to use The Power of Imagination.
Your Mileage May Vary, I suppose.

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Rule of Cool, man. Purple Prose makes you look more convincing to stupid people.
@melloncollie: I don't doubt that. It's a wonderful tool for lying. I know that intimately, and so I don't trust it.
I am aware of that, but it's still a dumb argument. I'm not the type to enjoy old things exclusively.
This avatar is encouraging me to type more formally, for some arcane reason.

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.It depends on the assumption that by simply imagining an entity, it exists. Less hypocritically, it only works if you believe in The Power of Imagination.

Hey, here's a practical use for my high, grating, girlish voice! I could be an anime voice actor.
