Classic series, new series, Whoniverse, expanded universe... 'tis all welcome here.
Please be considerate and tag spoilers wherever possible.
- Tag all spoilers for the latest episode, for any previews or content leaks, and for all off-topic works (e.g. if comparing a Doctor Who story to a Star Trek one)
- Spoilers for a season finale (or for any standalone special or expanded universe story) should remain tagged for at least a month after it's released.
When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which show and episode will they spoil?).

Julie Siege and Sera Gamble produced good stuff too, but Edlund's probably the most interesting writer to grace the series. I also enjoyed Jeremy Carver's work, prior to becoming showrunner. (Same with Gamble — the qualities they brought to their individual episodes faired poorly across a total season).

The internet is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it-William GibsonDerp. Forgot about that. IMDB says 6'-1cm taller than matt smith.
And i've been ninja'd. I should just quietly leave...

The internet is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it-William GibsonIt definitely needed a more Donna/Tegan-esque companion who could tell Six to shove it.
Also, Six needed to ride a robot unicorn at one point. I can't believe they thought they could air a Sixth Doctor without that. It just sickens me, truth be told.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt just occurred to me that we never do find out what the Doctor called himself during his Hurt incarnation. Now I'm thinking that he was The Valeyard and the version we saw previously was the one who survived Time War *after* using The Moment, driven a to the dark side by survivors guilt and a desperate need to fix what he done by going back in time and a=changing history with thr first step being getting back a few regenerations...
"The Mark of the Berserker
is a phenomenal hour of television - a story that, on its own merits, ranks among the best of the Russell T Davies era."

Didn't he regenerate in the TARDIS when he left 10 and 11? There wouldn't have been time after "using" the Moment. The time line never changed, either, he just couldn't remember anything from when he was about to use the Moment until regenerating in the TARDIS, so he only thought he'd used it. At least that's what I assume/think happened.
EDIT: Unless the Valeyard was from an alternate universe where he did use the Moment.

Wibbly-Wobbly and stuff! But yeah the idea is the previously seen Valeyard is from a timeline where The Moment was used, which might have been the main/proper timeline until the events of Dot D where time was rewritten.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Fair enough, though I'm not sure what if anything I'd be projecting.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Oh, you're just saying that because you're a fascist.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Sorry.
It's just that the post wasn't directed at any of those other things. And liking an era for one thing doesn't mean disliking every other era for not those things. Maybe.
...Sorry, I'll get back to you when my brain starts working.
