To be fair, the Imperials suffered something like ~99.999% causalities at the same battle.

And let us always remember, the true hero of Yavin. This guy, the gunner with the Cool Helmet who hesitated with his finger on the button long enough for Luke to fire the shot that destroyed the Death Star.

[up][up][up] Well, Tobias was partially right. evil grin. He's not a surviving Jedi, but he somehow managed to become a somewhat powerful, skilled force user despite no formal training.

Q: How do you keep your starfighter pilots from turning into criminal Jedi scum? (Something about all that radiation exposure that ain't stopped by a single sheet of plexiglass.)

A: Use genetically modified clones.

The 2nd Death Star had a much better survival Rate given that the staff had time to evacuate before it exploded.

You look happy, I can change that if you want.

[up][up][up]IIRC (didn't read the entire article) Farlander is also supposed to be the player character in the X-Wing video game storyline.

Episode 900

Corey is probably considering the benefits of an insanely overpowered fireball right now.

Vader's blowing X-Wings out of the sky with rolls of 3; that's ridiculous. But it establishes him as a threat that you can't beat by fighting back.

Mook X-Wings, Boss TIE. I think he wouldn't have that easy time with a PC.

They really had to stretch to make the title, didn't they? note

And Harryhausen's special effects are the real star of Clash of the Titans anyway.

[up]Harryhausen's special effects are more or less the star of any film they appear in. One gets the sense that had Harryhausen never been born, most of them would never have gotten made.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

The cast page is interesting too, with the reversal of Beard of Evil...

If "release the hounds" is an option, and it isn't option one, you're doing it wrong.

[up]And the fact that Pete thought Easily Outwitted and Arrogant were safe disadvantages in a Greek mythology campaign.

I love that movie but get annoyed with portraying Heracles as dumb muscle. He has super strength and the finest education a mythological Greek could get.

How friggin' weird is it that both this and The Venture Bros homaged Harryhausen within hours of each other? I'd say it was intentional but beyond the Greek setting nothing in the ads for this week's episode suggested that.

Seeing as the man died recently, I'd say it's a coincidence.

It would explain why he is played by different actors in different parts of the film. Remember?

Also, remember when they did Episode II, and took it to task for (1) introducing shapeshifters to the galaxy far, far away and (2) never exploring any of the implications of the existence of shapeshifters?
