Sure would, although the "canon" here seems to be fairly flexible, and even recursive.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"...ooooh that's what it referred to. I haven't read DM of the Rings, and didn't draw the connection.
Saruman in DM Of The Rings wasn't faced as a "minor boss". He got one-shotted by Legolas.
Episode 413: War!
This makes sense, as Padme isn't in the space battle. In fact, she doesn't appear until after they crash land, right? As for Sally, I dunno, maybe there aren't any good parts for her as a PC here.
That actually does make a lot of sense...and the nastyness took place, just a bit earlier than we thought. Pete's gonna have some fun here! Also, I like the dreadnaughts with atomic missiles throwback. By the way, does anybody remember how old they were by the time of the time skip? I'm curious how old the two years would make them...

By the way, I Knew It! about the snags in Jim and Annie's relationship..
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'm torn over these time-skip deals. On the one hand it's suspension of disbelief breaking for me to see Jim remembering an NPC mentioned once, years prior, just because he's a chancellor with a goatee, or for the P Cs to remember as many details as they'd have to to advance the story.
But on the other hand, the idea that the story - the story - isn't just another RP churned out over a couple monthes and forgotten, but takes a life of its own and stays with them in the background throughout their lives as a unique shared experience, possibly even, like some tropers have hinted, carrying into another generation of players is both original and very romantic. In fact, I think that might be why I still read it despite not being a Star Wars fan.
Support stupid freshness, yo.I am still very proud of myself for calling this development.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I get the feeling whatever Jim did, it'll be a Noodle Incident.

This is still a signature.—> I'm torn over these time-skip deals. Perhaps the DM did a recap with them before they started and Jim remembered then?
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I think Jim is just very Genre Savvy about certain things. As quickly as he decided in the other adventure that Bibble was evil because he had a goatee (and only because he had a goatee!) And we don't know how many other games they've played together in between these. It's not like the last one we saw was the last campaign they played together in. Jim assuming that Bibble was evil because he had a goatee could easily be a running joke among them
Is it just me, or is Episode III a Mook Horror Show so far? All of the droids they encounter have wacky personality quirks and don't seem threatening at all, and then the good guys kill them in horrible ways.
I feel like we're heading into some crazy twist, like maybe General Grievous is just a pacifist droid rights activist or something.
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!Yeah, well, that's kind of been the point of the comic since strip one.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That would make the meta-story even more an example of Real Life Writes the Plot. Annie's pregnant, but Annie's playing Anakin, while Jim's playing Padme, so Padme gets to be pregnant in the story as a result. The levels of meta continue to deepen.
Heck, I already get to claim I Knew It! for figuring out that Jim and Annie's Real Life relationship would be used to explain their crisis in EP3. I didn't anticipate it happening before the episode started, though.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"

Wait, wait, wait...
So... if that HAD been strip-canon, would that have made DM Of The Rings in the same canon?
