So, the Weasel Queen interlude is over. Is this Storm King opera another one?

Panel two: "You did something in cold blood without hesitation". Sounds like a compliment to a Heterodyne.
Panel four: "...you're clever..." Omitting the rest of the conversation.
Panel six: Shooting everyone and building a doomsday device together must be a Heterodyne's ideal date.

Agatha's pragmatic, I see. And smart enough to know how the castle parses information.

No, it looks like she took it seriously and only considered the possibility that it was misleading her as an afterthought.
Nice to see that our love triangle is now entirely official. And with a fourth who may or may not actually be interested in Gil, we're very nearly entering Love Dodecahedron territory.
Well, she has first-hand experience of how prone the castle is to misrepresenting things
in it's own warped way
.
So she takes what the castle says with a grain of salt. That doesn't change the fact that Gil is with Zola, which is suspicious.
Agatha has been downplaying the whole love triangle thing (unsuccessfully, since everyone else wants to talk about it), so do you think that's going to play into how she acts? I.e, making a logical choice over a romantic choice?

"Aww, but I already turned it way down!" Hee. "Zownt!" is a fantastic sound effect.
It'll almost certainly be a logical over a romantic choice.
And I still find the idea of a love triangle rather unconvincing or artificial. Agatha's never shown half as much reaction to or interest in Tarvek as she has with Gil, I don't think. Honestly I was hoping them finally getting scenes together again would just be, you know, the two of them and the situation at hand, but a love triangle seems kind of forced.
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuI'm with Haven on this one- personally, I rather suspect that Agatha's at least slightly more motivated by concern than by jealousy here; she already knows that Malibu Heterodyne is more dangerous than most people think (at least when they first encounter her, anyways), and she expects (with some justification, admittedly) that Gil's going to be his usual clueless-goof-around-females self around her.
Also, I'm still a bit confused as to what's going on in Pinky's head with regards to Ruthless!Pinky and Ditz!Pinky. She's a little trigger-happy with that little pink gun of hers. Sometimes >.>
I'm thinking the ditz persona is Obfuscating Stupidity.
Which isn't to say that she's really all that smart, either.

- Go to a neighboring room
- Ask Der Kestle for the right angle
- Divine Buster.
@Te Chameleon: So, it's Obfuscating Cleverness?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Props to Irritable Reptilian for the "Malibu Heterodyne" nickname. I think I'll have to start using that.
That aside, the Foglios amaze me with how many things they can add to a Thirty Xanatos Pileup and keep it from derailing.
"That aside, the Foglios amaze me with how many things they can add to a Thirty Xanatos Pileup and keep it from derailing. "
Well it's gonna be a thirty something pileup, but probably not a thirty Xanatos pileup. The only folks who seem to have plans within plans are Othar (who's surely going to at least attempt to doublecross Klaus for tradition's sake), Klaus (who must've told Othar a few porkies in anticipation of that), and Tarvek (who's out of it now, but who'll probably start doing a bit of Xanatos Speed Chess once he gets better and attempts to take advantage of the situation). Everyone else is so depressingly straightforward about exactly what it is they're trying to do.
Just 'cause they aren't discussing them out loud doesn't mean they don't have 'em.

A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Yeh, 'obfuscating cleverness' works. Although... I dunno, I'm still not quite sold. I mean, yeah, it's possible that Malibu Heterodyne (and I'm pretty sure I stole that from the Yahoo GG group, although it's faintly possible I may have started it there, too... I really don't remember, it was a while ago) is exactly as she seems- a ruthless quasi-mastermind who has been playing the ditz for years, but... hmm.

The traps have minds of their own now, too? Wow.
Alright, this is definitely gonna be a Thirty Xanatos Pileup. If the traps are smart enough, they might start developing schemes in their own right; additionally, Tiktoffen seems like he's on the side of the castle or science itself, which would tentatively put him on Agatha's side but not necessarily, especially with that ominous skull foreshadowing. He'll probably develop an agenda or at least a scheme.
Other possible players: the various other sections of the castle, some of which may still be cogent enough to scheme; the prisoners (including Merlot); any independently operating traps with their own ideas about being cooped up in a castle/taken control of by the other factions/getting annihilated by the baron (come to think of it, every other faction wants to destroy those traps, don't they? but only the baron's scale is really "annihilation" at the moment); and maybe even Zeetha, considering all that foreshadowing the Baron was throwing around.

Part of the problem is that Agatha has never fully trusted Gil. Given that he is the son of the man who has been her main antagonist for months now, has violent tendencies, and is something of a control freak you really can’t blame her. She has said herself that she does like him but that she doesn’t trust him. Given this, the castles horrible interpretation of what people say, and Tarvek asking for forgiveness on his death bed we now have the potential for a real love triangle.(at least until Punch and Judy show up. Bringing foster parents back from the dead is a great way to impress a girl)
